Did you know that Bobby Fuller was found dead in his mom's car in LA and that even though he had been beaten up and was covered in gasoline, his death was still ruled a suicide? From Kurt Cobain to Buddy Holly, far too many musicians have died way too young. Every time someone like them dies in an untimely way, hordes of theories come out attempting to make sense of their mysterious deaths. In this video, we'll be discussing one of the strangest mysterious deaths in rock music history.

Bobby Fuller was an enormously talented American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who put out two hit songs and a number of other certifiable bops in the late 1950s and early 1960s with his quartet rock outfit The Bobby Fuller Four. Some of his best-known songs were Let Her Dance and his immensely popular cover of Crickets I Fought The Law.

Just like the Cricket’s Buddy Holly, however, Fuller ended up passing away much too young. At the tender age of 23, when he was arguably at the peak of his career, the Baytown, Texas native was found dead in an automobile parked outside of his apartment in Hollywood. For years, the nature of Fuller’s death has been fiercely debated, with some believing that he intentionally took his own life while others arguing that his death was accidental. Recently, new light has been shed on Fuller’s death, with his own brother, Randy, coming out and revealing some never before heard details surrounding his demise.

Murdered of course!! What a tragedy. He was so talented and the recordings he did leave us were fantastic and raw. To even consider suicide is a joke. So sad

For what it’s worth has Bobby Fuller‘s body ever been exhumed and re-examined using modern medical techniques? In the past three or so decades there have been a number of cases where people’s remains were exhumed, and their injuries were determined to have been inflicted by another means (i.e.) blunt force trauma. Had Bobby not had the injuries he had to his body and there wasn’t blood everywhere I could see the suicide theory being plausible, but who beats themselves up then goes and commits suicide? That just doesn’t make any sense.
If they haven’t done so already they should at least exhume his remains and take another closer look using modern day forensic techniques.

Its plain as day that Bobby was murdered to be honest I've never trusted police as they always seem corrupted and never truly want to help unless it benefits them. That being said I would love to see you do a video on the late great Laura Branigan if you can please?

I interviewed Bobby Fuller on my first gig radio show in April 1966. He was a great guy. I followed the story of his strange death in July 1966 with great interest and had the inside track on the story for a while.
He was definitely murdered.

OBVIOUSLY!
It doesn't take any brains, to know that Fuller and others were knocked off, by slime in the Hollywood world or that industry.
Dick Dale says to never ever sign with a label, but do it all yourself, and I add, to choose your staff, carefully, including your manager..

DEfinitely a mob hit. Read Randy's book.
Read "Me, the Mob, and the Music" by Tommy James of Shondells fame, too.Organized crime was all up in the music business, more than most people realize.
Another suspect in the Sam Cooke hit is Alan Klein. Yeah, THAT Alan Klein. He was a nasty piece of work.

He got a phone call, left in a hurry, and then turned up dead. Obviously murdered. Elvis talked about how dangerous the music business was during those years.
But there’s nothing new here and not much of what is already either known or strongly suspected.

Hmm. Found dead in his mother's Oldsmobile, but the car shown repeatedly is a 1963 Chrysler 300J. Sixties TV shows frequently mixed cars up, using stock footage of a wreck, but a documentary should do better. Obviously not original footage, or else the "Oldsmobile" part was just wrong.

The Los Angeles Police force has been corrupt since the 1930's. In the 1980's whenever someone asked LA gang members who's the toughest gang in LA they would always say L.A.P.D.! And the American music business has been corrupt for over 100 years. There was even Payola in the Music Publishing business before records were invented. I used to go to record swaps all over the West Coast in the 1970's & 80's and every musician & singer I met told me about the dirty deals. If you had a hit record it was very hard to get any royalties. The Record Owners would say, "If you want to get paid, go on tour." The American Dream is a big Lie!
