BEST Security Cameras of 2025? NO SUBSCRIPTION

I paid $1000 for 5 Arlo Pro 2 cameras and a Hub 5 years ago with the promise I would be able to record 7 days of video on the cloud FREE, no SUBSCRIPTION, but yesterday, they just decided to turn off my ability to record videos. I am hoping someone files a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against them for BREACH of Contract. LOOKS LIKE I AM ABOUT TO BUY AN ENTIRELY NEW SYSTEM!

What happens if my WiFi goes down? Are these cameras only sending data to the hard drive wifi or is it Bluetooth?

How do these cameras perform at night? No mention of that which is what I really need to know.

how long/how many days does the 8tb help with before you ahve to manage space?

are you able to set motion detection on for certain hours? I’d like an indoor camera with this function but with my dog don’t want it going off all day just when I’m not home or at night

Can you access to App and view the camera when you are away from home? Or do you need to muck around with Port Forwarding or a home hosted VPN?

I never got the "view indoor camera on a PC" to work. Logged in, got the PIN (Ugh!), and tried to view but it stuck on "Connecting secure channel..." and never displayed. Called to get a return/refund, got shipping label and sent the whole system back. Still have not got a refund to my Amazon Prime card. Personally, I cannot reccomend you buy these, since viewing from a PC is non-functional, for me.

Nice video. I use the same products. One criticism I have of the system when using the Homebase 3 is that you can’t (seemingly) designate different cameras to be in different modes. Do you know of a workaround? I want to keep my outdoor cameras recording all the time but I want my interior cameras to turn off when I come home. Any hints? Thanks again

Why SSD not HDD?

Thanks for the video. I cancelled my Ring subscription when it got to £100 ($129) for two cameras and this has helped me decide to go with Eufy. By the way, having to get repeated confirmation from the app to view online is great - it means I can share my feeds but only when and for how long I want to.

You really didn’t need to install an SSD. That’s serious overkill. A good HDD designed for NVRs (eg. WD Purple) would have made more sense

Can I use this whole system in Thailand (yes I will have them shipped here)?

Is there a delay between opening the app and actually viewing the video stream. Our current camera has quite a delay. We often have to log back onto app. Seriously considering these cameras.

I’ve had Eufy (replacing Ring) since the homebase 3 came out. I have two cameras and love the setup. Chose this due to the Ring subscription- um no thanks. Tip: they often have sales. Just keep an eye out and you can get a good deal for most systems they offer. Black Friday is usually especially good. I’ve been tempted to expand when seeing the sales.

My big complaint with Eufy is the video quality my old Wyzw camera has clearer video despite only being HD vs 2K Eufy. Also it really is annoying not to be able to pause and pan through the video, if I really want to carefully look through a clip I end up having to download it to my photo album.

Will be nice when this tariff war is over between our countries so I don’t feel like a bad Canadian purchasing great products from the US. Having said that, I’d probably only need 2 outdoor cameras, and the doorbell camera and lock.

Hmm. My nest stuff works pretty well. Not that expensive. And doorbell camera thing, besides being unattractive, isn’t practically for all doors.

The only problem with my Eufy system is that they don't offer indoor cameras that are AC powered. If I enable movement based recording in a fairly busy area like my living room or kitchen, they chew through the battery in a few days. Not a problem for sloar powered outdoor ones, but climbing a ladder to plug in a power bank every 2 months is getting tiresome.

I’ve been using Eufy security gear since they were a Kickstarter. Big fan! If you want to have another gadget to add to the system, check out the water sensors. I’ve got one next to the hot water heater and one under the dishwasher. Batteries are supposed to last 2 years.

That’s not a bad price considering you never have to pay a subscription and I’m sure you’re gonna get a bunch of ads money from this video

Didn't Eufy (aka Anker) get in trouble for collecting and sending customer images and videos back to China based servers without consent a while back? Has anything changed regarding that?

Thanks for sharing. You say that to watch it from outside your network, you have to ask for permission from the app. Can you you just VPN into your home network from your phone and watch without asking the Eufy website for permissions? Overall, very good video. Also, you may want to mask your car plates for privacy at around 8 mins.

Im waiting on this version that works with homekit. Im only running the smartlock with a couple of cameras to monitor my 3d printers at the moment. I want to replace the smartlock with a camera doorbell one so i can start to phase out my ring setup. Ring this year is doubling their annual subscription and I dont need to be paying that much.

I want it for home kit and its easy for me to have displays up that like my ipad mini wall mounted and siri integration. also with homekit i can create shortcuts for automation when either everyone is not home or have left the house.

Great video and wish I'd had it when I was looking myself for additional outlying cameras not connected to my cat 5 security system. I placed two of the Eufy 4G LTE Cam S330 cameras (with wifi or cellular access). Mainly because I was worried about losing connection (distance from wi-fi). They included a free month's cellular activation card and surprisingly, I didn't even need to use it. I put a wi-fi extender in our shop which is a good 100 ft from our house's wi-fi. This is the only system that picked up and held the connection. So, for people wanting to place the cameras in outside building (we have a farm), it works GREAT. I occasionally get some buffering trying to view playback, but these cameras are user friendly and stable.

Hey David, I have all Eufy as well. They just sent me the Familock S3…perhaps check that out when it’s released. The palm unlock is legit and makes you feel like you’re living in the future. It is a smart lock/camera/motion sensor combo just like the one you got but on steroids.

I bought my Eufy cameras last year and I love them. They are HomeKit compatible.
