Michael Murray Responds to Lidia Criticism From Tekken 8 Players

More people should have Chikurin's mindset regarding this game, personally I am hyped for Lidia and she looks fine.

Also Capcom has been way worse with SF6 compared to Bandai Namco with T8 but some reason Tekken has way more negativity around it.

I understand the sentiment of wanting to be nice and stay positive, but I disagree. Michael Murray deserves the backlash that he gets, for the most part.

Facial lack of detail in all female characters is based on the fact that, since tekken players are mostly male, men do not recognize women with facial recognition - men recognize women based on their sexualized body parts. This is biological and societal fact. Psychological and neurological studies of men have proven through testing that men have problems visuallly differentiating between women, until you add the female characteristics of women's sexualized body parts such as breasts, buttocks, crotch, legs, hair, etc.

Also, brain scans of men being shown pictures of women demonstrated that men's brains don't even fully fire when they see women. Contrast this with the same study demonstrating that when men are shown pictures of other men, their brains fire up all the way. Men don't even see women as people. This is why Namco doesn't waste their money and resources investing in detailed design of women's faces in their game - it wouldn't be noticed by most of the male players anyway.

Lidia and Nina don't look alike. They have similarities but that's about it. From the jawline to the lips a lot of things are different

Lidia being a dlc character I don't mind but it's better to be a bonus character. because dlc we have to pay better characters who have never been dlc are shown so they are really new.

Lol of course the people that lose at the tournaments are going to complain about the game and the people that win are going to be positive about it. The reality of the situation is these people that were really good at Tekken 7 was making a lot of money off it, now they’re not so of course they’re not gonna find it fun. Tekken 8 is really good in my opinion it’s the best one of them, if you don’t feel that way go back and play Tekken 7, stop trying to make Tekken 8 into Tekken 7. The Pro players are getting a reality check right now, New game means new top players. Also a lot of these pro players are now playing against people like myself that are naturally extremely good at video games that are going to give them major competition some wins, some loses but A lot of us are not playing Tekken competitively and will leave soon to go to another game (for example I haven’t turned on Tekken 8 since I got Steller Blade)

Why pay again for the same dlcs? Just make them base roster, like come on.

The Japan thing is true. There is a wrestling company in Japan called NJPW and the crowd is alot more quiet compared to American Wrestling shows like WWE or else where. It is a cultural thing I guess.

I'm hyped for Lidia shes the only character I wanted so I'm glad shes next. I never got to try her in 7 so it's my chance, let us be happy for new characters, not everyone tried her.

The worst enemy of Tekken 8 is their fanbase.... I can tell they really suck. T8 still an EXCELLENT game, but english speakers of fighting games will be complaining about any stupid sh*t whatever happens. We will some good features for free like more story mode, new stages and photo mode, but they still complaining about stupid things. I like Lydia, i don't know why gringos hate her so much. Anyway, english community in fighting games is toxic as hell and really sucks.
