the importance of local content can not be overemphasized, the reduction in capital flight in any country is a result of local content policy implementation, hence local capabilities are been build through targeted capacity-building initiatives. most IOCs believe that local contractors don't have abilities to handle contracts but with the implementation of local content laws and also increasing the ability of local contractors to meet up with the standard of the international subcontractors, in turn, reduce capital flight and domicile in-country at least 50% of total annual income spent in the industry. with this, the development and growth of any country are attained through strict local content implementation.
