ОтветитьClick bait garbage presenter. Title: Crosstrek vs Cross, off-road and snow. Reality: Watch a Cross with summer tires spin in the snow. No Crosstrek. Waste of time.
ОтветитьWhat I don't understand is why car makers in recent years have moved away from mechanical limited slip differentials. They are simple. They are usually bulletproof. They do NOT have to use your brakes to move your car. (There's an oxymoron.) For both of these cars, having a limited slip on at least one axle would be a game changer. Your Toyota would not have had any problem with that second hill with a limited slip on the back. It can't be because of cost, limited slips are cheap to make. ???
ОтветитьI feel that the snow & ice tires are a large advantage in offroad too.
ОтветитьI do not think this this is a fair comparison , corolla cross is on the lower end when it comes to performance, it is designed to be a "budget" even when it sells now for over $26K :)
ОтветитьThis Corolla Cross should be called the RAV-3 or the RAV-2
ОтветитьI didn’t think the all-wheel-drive did that well…
ОтветитьJust get a rav4
ОтветитьMy friend why I have the feeling that you intentionally sticked the corolla in the low angle and haven't done it with subaru
ОтветитьSnow test without winter tires is kinda pointless.
ОтветитьYour driving skills on snow 😢
ОтветитьWhen it comes to the awd world only Subaru symmetrical and Audi Quattro all the rest are just following….
ОтветитьAfter watching a few demos of traction, sorry, not impressed....
ОтветитьAnd then there's Subaru's reliability... or comparative lack thereof.
ОтветитьThis seems like it is stepping into the Rav4 territory.
Ответитьguys on off road everything is tires , good tires are very very important
ОтветитьIf only the Toyota had the suspension of the Subaru...
ОтветитьSubaru trounced it without engaging x mode. Impressive
ОтветитьI dont care no one drives 4 wheel cars trucks to see if it will climb this is just dumb
ОтветитьThe subaru has an outdated design
ОтветитьWhat would be interesting to see is the difference between 2WD and 4WD corolla cross, how much that 4WD actually helps compared to same car with just 2WD
ОтветитьThe problem with the Subarus is the really poor gas mileage! I agree with you that the trim on the Toyota for the price is not a good value
ОтветитьShould redo this with the Toyota on winter tires
ОтветитьThe more I watch your videos of comparisons, the more it confirms my purchase of going with the Subaru Forester Wilderness.
ОтветитьExcellent advice ❤
ОтветитьAlways a pleasure your clips.
Ответитьawesome comparison
Ответитьoverrated crossover(cross) vs real crossover(crosstrek)
ОтветитьAaaaaa. Winter tires
ОтветитьI chose the Corolla Cross because they were in stock and I wanted something with great reliability and fuel economy, and I liked the way it handled more and the interior seemed nicer to me.
ОтветитьIt's little bit better than the Southeast Asia specs, we don't have AWD, led interior lights, and 2.0l engine.
ОтветитьOn the snow tires are more important than AWD
ОтветитьALL these companies need to learn a 2.0 litter ANYTHING is NOT ENOUGH POWER... PERIOD.... F...k the govt. regulation BS-- give the public what they want.. and it will sell-- but these are UNDERPOWERED - just like the subarus, and all the rest. The 2.5 mazda is BARELY enough-without a turbo(which is another thing that needs to be LEFT OFF- and install SUPERCHARGER instead-- much better for the engines and mpg.
You do run campaign against toyota looks like. You can a bit turn the rear of toyota like you did with subaro and it would have gone very smoothly.
ОтветитьConsidering they’re the same platform vehicle with just 2 different engines and AWD systems, having had a Crosstrek and miss the heck out of it, I can absolutely see the appeal to the Corolla Cross. It’s more modernized , looks a bit better and given the AWD Hybrid option that I believe gets better MPG than the Crosstrek Hybrid and will work fairly well for most commuters. That being said, having BEEN a Subaru owner, there is NOTHING like it. The customer service and assurance that they stand behind their vehicles is the hands down reason to get the Crosstrek over the Corolla Cross. Our local Toyota dealerships have some of the worst salesmen and service techs I’ve ever met and that’s why we went with our Odyssey instead of the Sienna. Had we gone with the Ascent instead, my blood pressure would’ve happily had a better time than what I’ve had with a non-Subaru dealership and service department.
ОтветитьI can’t imagine someone choosing the corolla cross over the crosstrek other than because of brand loyalty or beliefs of reliability perception.
News flash, Toyota and Subaru have been together since a long time ago and Subarus have proven their reliability. We can’t just assume all cars are bad because of a hiccup….unless it’s Nissan 😆
It's price point needs to be lowered as you can buy a Rav4 for basically the same price.
ОтветитьI sense bias.
ОтветитьWhat type of tires did you have on the Toyota cross ?
ОтветитьI watched this video a couple times. And I noticed that when he was doing the same section that the Toyota was in being that he owned the car he was more aggressive with it so there was a little bias. He didn’t want to hurt a brand new car he charged a little bit with the Subaru And the Subaru was a little more use of the throttle as you could tell from different camera angles from the wheel spin. Again it was lighter on the Toyota than the Subaru because he didn’t want to hurt and pay for damage on a new car.
ОтветитьIf you don't know you are leaving your lane without a computer telling you, you should not have a driver's license.
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I needed to see because I'm debating of buying either Cross or Crosstrek.
ОтветитьYou keave traction control on in the snow so it brakes and turns the tires that arent spinning, by braking the spinning tires.
ОтветитьSubaru cheaper and better awd
ОтветитьHere is a question, can off road tires be put on the rear to get you out of these situations.
ОтветитьI've owned 7 Subarus. Currently have a 2023 Outback. Subaru's AWD is second to none.
ОтветитьSoft driving
ОтветитьHow about putting subarus 4wd system into a corolla? 😁
