Ozzy's and his friends are the heros with mayor colonic Jones put a stop to thrax at the right time and saved Shane from getting infected while he got the DNA chain to get her father to normal stopping the heat of his fever of his head when Shane is determined not to let tragedies befall her clan of the same fate that happened to her deceased mother infected by an unknown disease years ago at the hospital she felt devastated and guilt of all this thinking the whole thing was her fault if something is wrong with her father after he avoided the school hike she planned all along after the oyster incident at the science fair that got frank exposed in front of everyone and got fired at the pea soup place when his bro bob hook him up a new workplace at the zoo Shane is in disgrace while in school nothing is helping her Jones explained about his worst record about the danger of the oysters that might contain Zack should have warned frank about the bacteria from the oysters that nearly caused an accident causing Boyd to sign a restraining order for frank to keep away after the fact although after Ozzy got suspended from immunity force he does his best to keep his duty but got promoted by the chief suggesting for Jones to get a partner he and drix Carry on the case to stop thrax for good but got fire by that bad mayor phleming ignoring the danger Leah knew that phleming is arrogant and don't care about the lives to the town Leah exiles leaving phleming alone in office after the hypothalamus pillar gland was breached when thrax plans to get his own record in the medical books killing innocent people frank suffered a feverish state while heading to the wing fest in buffalo NYC with bob but Shane was not happy that her father made a bad decision avoiding the hiking school trip when bob arrived as Shane gone with her classmates on the hiking trip bob hands out beer to frank while heading to the wing fest in downtown frank everything is getting humid Leah got captive by thrax and about to escape with the DNA chain while on the road frank was in bad shape then ever as he swerve bob quickly called 911 stopping the accident and the wing fest trip delayed rendered phleming powerless while on the bus Shane was shocked while her classmates saw her father on the ambulance to the emergency room and hospitalized of a fever Shane gets off the bus to meet up with bob to get to the hospital to meet up their father as his condition kept rising the doctors use ice to cool him down just as their about to give up hope to recover frank while at the hospital Ozzy stopped thrax for good as the false eyelash dropped into the rubbing alcohol dissolving thrax stopping the effects of every viruses instantly Shane cried cause she didn't want her father to suffer and couldn't risk being orphaned for good while at downtown frank Ozzy got the DNA chain just in time just as the docs escort Shane outside in devastation just then Frank's condition drops down to normal while sweating he awakens saying to his daughter "your mom says hi". Ironically, Scarlet fever is EXACTLY what Thraxx is supposed to be; Scarlet Fever if it was a sentient, probably psychopathic, Serial Killer.

Surprised you didn't mention how Thrax's motivation is to kill Bill Murray and get a record in the medical books rather than reproduce like a real virus. If he behaved like a virus, the movie'd be more like something akin to Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
