I came up with an amazing team that practically works and i'm 9-1 with it now , which goes magcargo lead, paired with jelly and araquanid . Jelly and araquanid destroy every counter to magcargo, i loved seeing "mudders" top lefting .

I’m having fun with Shadow Forretress, Jelli & Swampert. Both the waters cover the Forretress’ Fire weakness & Jelli covers the fighters.
Sludge/ Hydro Cannon Swampert allows it to take shields or flip matches

This cup is unplayable. I never say that, ever. Last year I remember running one team and sticking with it the entire way: Pelipper-Ferro-Poliwrath. Never needed more. Lanturn-Lucario beats me but nothing else does. This time it's full-on RPS. Either that or both are walled. Either way it's the first cup I have ever been unable to imagine going a week with.

Im running a team of poli steelix and jellicent the team is pretty solid and poli and jelly counter the things steelix doesn't want to see its only real weaknesses are golisopod with shadow and ludicolo i just top left which i shouldn't have to worry about much as you don't see the sombrero duck often

What’s everyone’s problem with this iteration of fossil cup? I honestly feel like it’s not that bad.

All the match-ups I’ve had have been playable, even if I’m at a disadvantage from lead. I don’t think the meta is as RPS as people are making it out to be. That could just be me getting lucky match-ups, however, I rarely win lead and often find myself having to pivot to regain an advantage.

Ive actually enjoyed this cup but im also like rank 14. The only mon that give me issues are lucario & Ferrothorn. This cup should really be called the Ferrothorn cup because i see it most of the time.
