That was absolutely stunning. I don't think any skater or skating fan can dislike Nathan, but the artistry, difficult entries, rippon lutz... this should have been the winning SP. I hope he keeps it for next season. I'd wager his GOEs will improve quite a bit with judges being more familiar with it and him.

The transition into the 3A is gorgeous. Vincent also has one of the most beautiful 4 lutz in skating today. I'd say only Kolyada's 4lutz is better, but Kolyada rarely lands his.

To me, this was the short program of the Men's event. That opening Rippon 4L and the 3's into a triple axle and the music interpretation...all there...all great.

Artistically, he is gorgeous BUT figure skating now is more about technicality and jumps. It just isnt the same and that is where Nathan shines.

I have been watching the recent ice skating videos n this channel, and this one was the best so far. It was such a expressive and elegant performance! And the jumps were so smooth...
ОтветитьThere are some people saying his jumps are not good enough for him to win. This might be true, but I would take this kind of performance over the ones with better jumps and less artistry. The way it fit with the music and how expressive it was...Even his jumps were so well integrated with the rest.

His movements are super fluid yet purposeful and strong. They feel like watching water long and extend yet somehow soft arms like waves. Beautiful
