Ahhh! I’m so glad y’all posted this. After seeing your videos I’m planning a trip for my husband and I to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. To go to Helen, Ga and then on to Gatlinburg (without the kids this time). Hiking and eating are my two favorite things to do when visiting the mountains.

Tough hiking 🥾 but definitely worth it! Gorgeous!!!

Been there many times for family picnics. There are many more tables on downstream accessible from the other end of the parking lot. Not far from where you was a scene from Smokey and the Bandit filmed. There is also an area called Smithgall Woods near there that you might check out if you get the chance. Also a a classic 1950 film was filmed in the area as well "I'd Climb the Highest Mountain" with Susan Hayward. Lots of great history around there including a haunted covered bridge. A Cherokee princess named Nacoochee burial mound. Gold mines

That's as awesome as being in the smoky mountains.
