Here's another little known fact; the Harrison County Jail in Harrison County (Biloxi, Gulfport area) Mississippi was abandoned by the guards during Hurricane Katrina leaving the inmates to fend for themselves with no electricity or food and they weren't checked in on for at least 48 while the water rose around them, rising even in their cells while they were locked away in them and couldn't get out, even to the common area.

I also guarantee that parchment and Central Mississippi Correctional Facility is far worse than any prison in Louisiana. I was in cmcf and the month after I left, to the day a girl died by being beaten to death by guards and inmates in the zone that I was in before I was transferred to a different zone before release.

I found it absolutely ironic that a guy escaped death row only to get beaten to death at a bar by a biker. Well the biker saved the state a lot of money.

He says it is not humanitarian to let them have hot showers because it is to keep them swimming out of the prison. Yeah I guess it is not humanitarian to foster their stay through better conditions and ways of making harder to scape. In fact it is inhumane to jail them right? Just straight up made your point.

Jail isn't prison. If you're in jail you're not a prisoner, you're an inmate. Hollywood has people so confused about the difference!

I don't know if anybody has posted this or not, but there were 12 members of the security and staff that were killed in the riot of 1980 in New Mexico. One of the guys that was killed was the father of a friend of mine from school. I don't exactly remember what he did in his full-time job, but he was working in the pen part time for extra money and was stabbed to death with an ice pick. I love your videos, but make sure you get your facts straight?

The reason why recidivism is the US is so high is because we put so barriers in front of people getting out of prison. You get slapped with a criminal record that essentially every single employer in the country will see , effectively blacklisting you from ever working a legitimate job ever again, let alone a career. Second chances? Nope!

I spent a little under 13 years in prison, and I can say for certain that rehabilitation did not exist in any of the facilities I was at.
A week or two before you’re outdate you’ll do a five or six hour “reentry class” they tried teaching guys how to balance a checkbook like it was still the 90’s and said good luck.if memory serves me correct you got $50 gate money. The word rehabilitation is nothing but a buzzword to justify needing more federal funding for programs that never get up and running. You would think it would make a tax paying citizen really wonder where their money goes . I just completed my 5 years of parole 2 day’s ago. You yourself have to make the choice to want better a different life whatever it takes because nowhere in those walls are they gonna try to make you a better person they want you to come back you are a paycheck to them.

Sorry to say it but prison’s not supposed to be a nice place or a country club. I check my city’s jail roster daily and see the SAME people getting rearrested on a regular basis. Mostly for assault & DWI.
