Destiny 2: The Problems with Black Armory, & how to Fix Them!

You can’t fix what ain’t broken. Black armory simply doesn’t bring anything new. This is definitely 10x worst than house of wolves. I have no motivation to play the game at all - what’s the point of destiny at the moment?

I totally miss the rehashing of old content. I mean the forge quest rehashes old lost sectors and heroic quests. For heroic quests your nice peer can actually ruin your attempt to complete it by melting the boss in some - e.g. escape pods - so much fun waiting another 1/2 - 1 hour.

Then you have the great elongated weapon frame construction. Kill X of Y then m of P and then do kill W. For any. *Interesting*. I even looked up how to get in to levialthan to get my yellow bar kills.

Then you can repeat the "content" on another character for a forge you already have unlocked, but characters are not connected though they share the same bank and usually most of the inventory.

Well, this is partly the community's fault. They didn't want more substantial content, just more mediocre guns and a grindfest to get them. That's actually what they fucking asked for and they got it. Just go into any Destiny 2 discord. Don't get pissed at the waiter for bringing a glass of water when you asked for a glass of water.

Hey...lets phone her up ... Lol:D hey if you have her number sharing is caring;) and have planet material as strike rewards or forge rewards that might help some grinding there and build more matchmaking

@kackis why not add heroic modifiers every week like nightfall or weekly adventures/strikes

I quit d2 before forsaken and now play monster hunter all the time. Hunter rank 338 and cranking. If you stick out mh till you get into high rank the game gets better and better. I am a d1 platinum trophy player. Diamond tier -v d2 raider and destiny is boring and a non fun grind. Thats why i left.

Disagree bro, I'm not a "power player" but I think I represent more of the normal player. Just hit level 640, only opened two forges, plus the normal gameplay and such. Like MOST D2 owners, I've only scratched the Dreaming City. The average player doesn't power up to max to beat things, it's the process. ENJOY THE PROCESS.

main issue with destiny is the lack of exotics, and they should be random rolls and diffrent raritys, just take a look at diablo items, add them by the hundreds. Legendary Set items and what not, ...no lets just pay for dlc and use the same old exotics that everyone had even before forsaken...

I uninstalled after hitting 650. Nothing else to do. The new raid? Nah looks meh. Chase exotics? Fuck that, that pure rng is not chasing it's getting lucky. Crucible? How about nope. Gambit? Yeah cause I love lock out games and having my God role auto rifle fill like a pea shooter going against red bars. I'll come back at the end of 2019 when all this drip feed content is in the game or maybe not if something more fulfilling comes out before then

It's sad. Everything wrong with gaming has started to unravel in 2018 and 2019 to the point that I don't use my xbox for gaming anymore. Companies like Activision don't create games for peoples enjoyment anymore, it has become a monopoly now... When last have you played a game that didn't make you feel like you had to pay extra with the believe that you will get the entertainment you expected out of it?

I hope that people start to realize what I have realized: paying for "new/extra" content in a game will only result in disappointment. Stop throwing money at something with the hope that it will get better. It's what you would do with a bad car, you would cut your losses and move on...

Game expansion is DOA especially for someone who got suckered in after the little ditch effort to bring in new players before it dropped. I picked up D2 after getting it free from blizzard in Nov. I think. "New" loot is garbage, thx for the new skins but no thanks. Grouping for raids is still impossible for new players no one wants to invite to clan. The ones that do want to clan have like 2 people. Once you finish black armory your stuck if you don't have a group to raid with. The guided game beta is an ok idea but it doesn't work ive sat in queue for hours and nothing. Ive gotten on the forums to LFG and no one wants to run it. SO yea pretty game but nothing to do and no easy way to take part in end game.

Can we hold the phone and talk about Gofannon's boss cheese... Servitor boss being protected by other servitors and moving over the only spawn area to constantly farm player kills

The buildup in Forsaken was amazing but the transition into a boring ass “dlc” like Black Armory totally killed everything Bungie had going for them. They worked so hard to create a good base for change and didn’t hold true for long with that mindset. Disappointment.

Its what i rephrase all the time, stop just adding new content. Existing content needs to be updated too. Its the same problem mostly every online game these days. Cool game to beginn but once 1 year in the old content is meaningless, empty and wasted space on every hard drive.
Bungie hasn't learn anything with there DLC. I'm so glad i didn't buy the Anual Pass cause i was sure one week after Forsaken launch they will not sustain that same effort in that pass. This Analpass is again a total ripoff providen nothing for 10$.
Thats exctly what they want. Maximum Profit while maintaining minimum effort. So it dosent wonder me one bit that veteran players by now are bored to the ground and nothing inside this Analpass will change that.
They striped Story telling, evolving the Unisverse and Loot in favor of maximizing profit on the back of their loyal Fanbase that still refuse to wake up and put there boots on the ground.
Half there weapon entrys in D2 is just blatant copy paste work from D1 and still are fans applauding and demanding for that hot garbage but wondering at the same time why this game feels so dull?

I for once and usally im not a pesemistic guy at base, been happy that i can say that this ship is sailing without me. D2 is not gettin any money out of me anymore. Better wait for D3 4 weeks post launch reviews if they learn anything from D2 but for now i set my money on TD2, Anthem, MHW and Warframe.

We're not. The community loves this new formula. "Reskin weapons with bad perks"? You're hilariously wrong and misinformed. The weapon frames forge some of the best weapons in Destiny history. Kindled Orchid? Blast Furnace? Tatara Gaze? Ringing Nail? All of which are best in class for their weapon type. All of which are highly sought after and infinitely farmable as guaranteed drops in a matchmade activity that's easily accessible to solo, group, casual, AND hardcore players. Look around Kackis! Everyone's talking about how amazing the loot is in Black Armory! And this isn't even a DLC at all. It's a content update as part 1 of the annual pass, and translates to 10$ worth of content. We got a raid with this update! And a darn good one at that. You're crazy AND in the minority if you seriously think this update is bad, a failure, or has large fundamental problems. Black Armory is a blessing and a welcome addition that vastly improves the Destiny experience, and the community agrees with me on that. This video makes you look uninformed, childish, and overall ignorant of how Destiny works. You complain about the forges being too simple, but your solution is more loot to flashpoints and strikes? People like playing new stuff Kackis! Your solution would just create more problems! You think EP was better than forges? Forges are shorter, matchmade, AND have guaranteed drops! EP was a nightmare on release that nobody could complete and even fewer could ever get weapons from! And if you think the weapon frames that we forge make "reskins" you're delusional. Their aesthetic, feel, and power, are all unique and unparalleled. You argued they wouldn't impact the meta, but they already have! You can't go anywhere in any crucible playlist without seeing Black Armory weapons, especially Blast Furnace and Tatara Gaze. Very disappointed by this one Kackis. D2 has never got off the ground.

I legit haven't done the forges yet, because I'm kind of lower leveled at the moment :| but I agree that there needs to be more Loot, I really want strike-specific loot to make a return, I really hate that strike-specific loot exists, but only on Nightfalls, and are only weapons.

Just play Monster Hunter World, hell even Warframe, those 2 games is better than Destiny 2 tbh.

The reason your bored with it is because you play 10 plus hours a day 7 days a week and want to finish the DLC in the first week or so. Guys who have real jobs and cant play 10 hours a day have plenty of content to play. Slow down enjoy the game you dont have to beat and play everything right off the bat

1. Exotic Armor
2. New strikes that ALSO doubled as a forging attempt. You take the radiant frame with you when you start the strike, finish the boss, and the forging is complete. I really loved the look of the Niobe labs area, and it's a waste of that work to make it exist only for the forging. This would have also been a great way to explore the story of the expansion, and be a great matchmade event for solo players so that they don't have to raid to get the best gear. (I love raids and I'm glad I joined a clan that actively does those).
3. The Bergusia forge kind of makes the other forges obsolete outside of specific bounties. I don't ever have to visit the other forges now, ever, now that Bergusia can give me curated rolls in addition to forging all of the possible weapons.
4. Oh yeah, why doesn't Spider trade in Baryon Boughs? Didn't he say he wanted a piece of whatever was inside the Dreaming City? I have almost 2000 Baryon Boughs and my only use for those is buying extra Tinctures. :P

I can't believe Destiny would recycle content and gear. What planet is this. LOL. This game is terrible. Not to mention Bungie has moved on to D3. Why even bother to play this boring game when all your gear will be lost in some explosion just so you can earn it again next year.

I figured out how to truly fix it, get your copy of D2 and sell it on offer up and go buy Anthem instead. See all fixed😃👌🏼

i think its great, i had to pay 30 pound for the pass and each dlc is pretty much 10 pounds each what is cheap af for destiny content i think its adds alot to the game. also escalation protocol was the worst thing ever so joking yourself

I wish the devs would fix their shit. The black armory ship says that it drops in collections. And yet I've done it over a thousand times. I don't really have the urge to forge 100 frames. I believe they should also make the ship a drop from Gofannon.

I stopped playing about a month ago, have always loved destiny since I got it when dark below arrived.

Saying "The Last Word Exotic" is future content.. is a joke. Come on. It's just an old weapon locked by multiple steps in a quest. They could just add it to the exotic loot pool and save us time. Cause an Exotic Quest is REALLY not.. content... ✅🙂

I hate pvp so the quests that are tied to that aren't of interest and quests that require a fireteam being that I solo this game are out finding a clan that matches my schedule is a big problem too, overall I enjoy the game as is the fixed so much I appreciate it.

I told my friend that was thinking about playing destiny 2 one time, Don't play it unless you have a ton of spare time. I love Destiny but its starting to feel like it's a chore to stay ahead.

I stopped playing Black Armory since it requires you to grind for OLD gear with the SAME activities just to get to the new content which isnt even that good
