Since the miners, the government has taken steps to prevent 'protest' .... I respect the NFU's stance on limiting their exposure to the 1000s that plan to hit london on the 19th... because the NFU want a measured response, and don't want to be punished for 'french-like-protests' that might kick off. There's a lot of pressure building in UK farming. We work exceptionally hard, and feel very undervalued for what we do. But we get on with it. But to be so blatantly beaten by Kier, so early on, it's a pill we won't swallow without a fight. So equally, I stand alongside the 1000s that will attend outside of the 1800 NFU members. If the government doesn't listen after the 19th.... then the tide that follows will be truly united and the NFU will likely be supporting it and calling it. Unfortunately, I can't make London on the 19th - but I'll be aiming to join a local demo on the day. Full support and appreciation for those able to get down to London to show everyone what farmers can do!

I think the whole country needs to protest .. not just for farms .. but the budget has killed are country .. we will lose business .. we will lose jobs .. we will give all are money to strangers from over seas .. and people who come to this country .. we all need to go to number 10 .. and march on .. parliament.. all of use that want to stop the ridiculous tax .. people are struggling to live to put food on the table .. to find work .. crime will rise .. debt will rise .. child education will fail .. family’s will struggle .. pensioners will struggle to stay warm .. it’s going to be cold this year .. we all need to go to march on are government.. they are nothing with out use .. just one day .. not just 1000s but millions of use

FYI If you put two thirds of the normal amount of solar panels in a paddock you can have two thirds of the sheep in that paddock, This has been shown in initial trials, This opens the possibility of farmers sharing the paddocks with energy companies and receiving and annual rental from them. Converting farmland to just solar panels is very wasteful.
