First time I've heard of medical fees VAT exemption in Korea, and being extended to cover 100 items. WoW. This is a great step for pet owners in Korea! With 6.02 million households now owning pets—a 65.4% increase from 2012—affordable medical care is essential.

The government’s plan to expand VAT exemptions from a few basic services to around 100 essential treatments like X-rays and CT scans will make a real difference. Currently, households spend about 60,000 won (S$61) per month on pet medical care, which is 40% of their monthly pet expenses. By reducing costs on necessary treatments, these policies will ease the financial burden for millions of pet-loving families in Korea. Excited to see the positive impact this will bring!
