wasn't SHOCKWAVE taller than megatron so the quake blast would be more accurate.....
Ответитьhopefully they can repaint this to a darker purple its too light, but still a beauty!
ОтветитьFantastic review Andrew. Love it. I'm also a fan of both 3rd party figures, Quakewave and Quakeblast. Great job on this review and I look forward to seeing more.
ОтветитьSo most of his weight is battery???
ОтветитьCheap looking knockoff vibe yet people will still sell there QW. Lol
ОтветитьIt seems like a toysrus,Hasbro kind of deal. Can't see it as a collectible,my opinion fans toys and xtransbots are the closest thing to g-1 accuracy. Takara started off good in the beginning, but now there just throwing pieces of plastic together. If there not careful third party companies will takeover there customers. The last thing I purchased from them was ultra Magnus, and from the looks of it that's going to be it.
ОтветитьI love the more toon and G1-toy accurate design of this. I own Quakewave, but I very much prefer this design over either Quake. My Quake is nice. Feels like good quality, and looks fine, just too bulky to be Shockwave. I only wish MP was slightly taller, and darker.
I just hope Hasbro does a version in darker purple, and at a better price point.
Quakewave is good enough. I have a problem with the takara MP's color and the size. Shockwave should be almost as tall or the same height as Megatron.
ОтветитьLaserwave looks more like a Leaderclass figure , than a MP-rated figure.
Ответитьu mistransform his head and neck section....it can actually tab in to make it hold..
ОтветитьMP-29 looks too much like the original to the extent that it incorporates all the originals flaws. Quakeblast on the other hand looks like what a modern Shockwave should look like. It's proportions and dark metallic paintwork give it a look of great power and menace. MP-29 just looks too much like a toy and for it's size in relation to both Quakewave and Quakeblast it seems way overpricedIf Cloud 9 next turn their attention to Megatron and Soundwave then I would love to see how they turn out.
ОтветитьDon't want to waste my money on this one. Quakes are way better in many ways.I hate the cheap plasticky look.
ОтветитьQuakeblast pwns both those figs
ОтветитьWait... $159.00 for this? Ironhide is $84 bones on ebay shipped and has a glut of accessories. Shockwave here is $120 at best. It looks great but the build quality is dubious. Priced way to high. Enjoy him TT folks. BTW quakeblast on ebay $78 shipped. Shockwave is double the price lolol.
ОтветитьI have Quakewave but I'm also getting Takara's which I will keep in alt mode as I feel he is too short. I prefer Quakewave in bot mode.
ОтветитьWow when i look at the official mp and the c9 quakeblast thats stands on my shelf i think i made the right decision picking up the knockoff :P I like how the transformation on the official one is easier (transforming QB is a real horror story) but it looks like a happy meal toy compared to Quakeblast
ОтветитьI got rid of my quakewave, cause I prefer the official shockwave which I should
be getting next week an masterpiece ramjet can't wait
Would have liked a comparison with Quakeblast which looks better than Quakewave. However, if there is ever a hasbro version of this Shockwave at a better pricepoint i might bite.
ОтветитьI don't understand people who want to have only one version of Shockwave and are selling their third-party ones after getting this. if shockwaves a mad scientist Gmail when to find a way to bring forth parallel Dimension versions of himself? and if Spider-Man can I have millions of different Multiverse versions of himself in figure formed when I can't Transformers? just some food for thought
ОтветитьI wish the purple was darker, not sure I am comfortable with how loose / easy it is to remove hands- easy to loose.
ОтветитьLooks like a quality MP from TT. Happy for the official only MP collectors. Personally, I'm happy with my Quakewave but it's great that there's a few options out there for this character.
ОтветитьHow to secure the head with its clip?
Slowly lift the head up and you may notice that the part below the neck simply won't lock accurately/properly; it's in reality very simple, you just need to lift the head post upwards until it's near the top, quickly use a little strength to pull it upwards, hear a click, your head will be securely locked in. What is movable will only be the ball on the neck, very interesting.
does it include batteries?
Ответитьnot sure if you know, but the mini shockwave gun was used in the Transformers Devastation video game
