Does anybody notice how terms like "bomb cyclone" and "atmospheric rivers" or even "polar vortex" are new? Can't anyone equate this with our loss of forests & petroleum use? Then how the deforestation has allowed all that carbon, from soil or from petrol, slip into the ocean, warming & acidifrying it up? Those are two huge industries that need gov't regulation, but do you notice how our gov'ts regulate us peoples instead? Look around this platform, cuz this is just the tip of the iceberg of insanity going on right now!

Power has been out all evening here on the west side of Victoria. Easterly winds blowing in hard 😮

Abbotsford this afternoon had strong outflow winds, cold East Winds out of the Fraser Canyon, with fresh snow on the mountains in Maple Ridge.

I live in Courtenay and I only lost power for about five minutes but it's very windy with a lot of rain.
I will be glad when this storm is over.
