I know that basement
ОтветитьModern Polaroid film shot with modern Polaroid camera. Interesting to see what images would like if shot with a vintage Polaroid 600 camera?
ОтветитьNot too bad. Have you or could you try the B&W in an older Polaroid camera? I have a Polaroid OneStep Express 600. Thanks.
My Polaroid Auto 100 will never forget pack film! 😥
Great video explaining and comparing the two. Thanks Ribsy!
I also love where you shot this. Your backdrop, framing and lighting pop super clean! Aesthetically pleasing, and informational!😀
Maybe at last this new Polaroid has turned tne corner! Is there an SX70 version available?
ОтветитьHow does it compare to Instax?
Ответитьcan't really compare it to peel-part and not mention that peel-apart gives you a negative as well as your instant print... that said, very exciting to see a new BW emulsion from Polaroid!
ОтветитьWow thanks for highlighting this. This is light years away from where that emulsion was a few years ago, it used to be almost impossible to not blow out the sky. You nailed the photos of the parade, the fact that it got sky detail on the interior of that car is seriously impressive. Glad Polaroid keeps improving the chemistry!
ОтветитьLooks great, I need to look into a Polaroid camera
ОтветитьOff subject, but that t-shirt is 🔥
Ответитьwhat a great news Ribsy, thank you so much for this. I want a go in it with my "new" 680!
ОтветитьI wonder if these improvements will one to sx70 packs…😅
ОтветитьYeah the new b&w 600 film looks great. Fascinating info about the Instax Monochrome chemistry. Do you have any more info about that?
ОтветитьThanks. This film may have improved, but it is still very inferior to prints from negative film. When I saw your print of the ladies in the car, my thought was: if only he had taken this with 120 film.
ОтветитьPolaroid has been working on the new color film for several years now. I'm hoping the jump in quality is significant like with the B&W film. The current formula has been about the same since about 2018/2019 other than slight alterations with the chemistry. I do think Polaroid gets skin tones more accurately than Instax but man it is super contrasty
ОтветитьThanks for this review! I love instant film. And… a PR Parade! This Boricua loved this! ❤
ОтветитьWe also need to take into account a lot of us aren’t shooting the highest of quality Polaroid cameras. RESULTS WILL VARY!
ОтветитьWow—that looks like a huge improvement over the previous version. Very helpful and great shots—thank you
ОтветитьNice retro shots. Had to order some B&W after seeing those. Sorry you didn't have an affiliate link yet...
ОтветитьHow does this film respond to orange and red filters? Instax mono film turns muddy and low contrast with an orange filter. Curious whether this does or not.
ОтветитьThis stuff is awesome so far. I bought a few packs and just took a shot on Sunday. Black and white Polaroid 600 with actual dynamic range? I have some of the 2011 Impossible stuff in my film fridge. I need to do some side by side comparisons.
ОтветитьI need this in SX-70!
ОтветитьBut what about 4x5? that fuji 3000b is 4x5 or 3.3x4.25, so going by Polaroids prices even for 100$ is cheaper. Polaroids mono definitely not on the level of dynamic range as fuji's peel apart. That negative it produces is very high detail definitely miss shooting those packs used to cost only 20-30£.
ОтветитьPolaroid 600 was the first camera I owned, and it's been gathering dust for over a decade now, so I'm stoked to try this. Thanks for reviewing it.
ОтветитьTo tell the truth, the new formula looks good, but it doesn't look like there is that much detail in shadows in these shots. I am also curious if this film turns to sepia like the previous generations.
ОтветитьSince Fujifilm is exiting the game of film, they should sell their formulas to Kodak or some other manufacturer. Imagine if Kodak had all of the Fuji chrome films, but changed the name?!
ОтветитьThe photo looks so sharp, what camera did you use?
Ответитьthe black and white shots from the parade where my favs such nice blacks and nice whites and great compositions ! killing it
ОтветитьAwesome video brother! Thank you for sharing your experience and results with the new emulsion, did I understand you correctly that none of the pictures used flash? How did you manage to illuminate the mechanic in the shop garage (my favorite picture btw). Keep shooting bro polaroid will pick you up in no time!
ОтветитьComparing this to god tier packfilm is clickbait-y & laughable. Show us the inevitably faded & sepia’d in no time. Ages like milk. Absolute trash!
ОтветитьDamn all these cameras I want now.. Great dynamic range on those.
ОтветитьI wonder when it will be in the standard i type film.
Ответитьbushwick is the hood?
ОтветитьExcellent shots. When using the I-2 where you in auto or manual? Flash or no?
ОтветитьWay to go, Polaroid. Next step: A colour film that develops in less than 5 minutes.
ОтветитьI have been bothered by a question for quite some time. Can Polaroid black and white as well as color films, like Fujifilm films, preserve their colors for a long time without fading? I hope that the colors in my photos won't fade away, just like the memories they capture.
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this video!! Definitely subscribing and checking the rest.of your videos 😊🙏
ОтветитьI'd love to know what mode you were shooting in. If you can recall. Thanks
Ответитьthanks! !! Man that grey "matt" really annoys me though. Would be so much better on white.
ОтветитьLove seeing how things have progressed! I’ve been shooting the various iterations on and off starting in the early days of the Impossible Project, and it’s awesome that all of the weird experimental emulsions led to something that’s absolutely ready for professional work.
ОтветитьI'm currently shooting SX-70 film stock, what do you think about the 600 colour film stock, does it have a better dynamic range right now as the the monochrome 600?
ОтветитьThis is a great video, and I'm excited to try this film! I do have a question for you -- it looks like it was a hot summer day. Did you have any issues with temperature? I live in a hot climate.
ОтветитьI just shot my first pack of the new B&W film and I absolutely love it. I’m never going back to the old film.
ОтветитьHow do scan your Polaroids
ОтветитьI just got this and have been very impressed with it. I took a photo of my sister that people have commented that it looks like a movie promo shot! ❤
ОтветитьIt is possible to do emulsion transfer with this new film ? Thanks
ОтветитьYour works on Polaroid sheets is really amazing❤
ОтветитьHave you tried shooting with filters for B&W film?
