Love this video - just as an idea for a sit down video if you ever have time or if it is easier. But I would love to know if there is anything you are doing differently with this baby due to your knowledge from previous babies? Eg not worrying about something, or things you feel are more important now, management of postpartum emotions etc.

Little house , ah the memories of reading them as a child and then reading them with my daughter. I still have my boxed set I hope to pass on to my daughter to read to her children :)

I marvel at your ability to home school, care for a newborn and everything else you do. Your channel is always interesting. I watched the home schooling curriculum, wow are you through. I recognize those piano books, used them to teach my daughter and some other hs children. Great foundation for future music learning

Have you tried playing your videos in the background while your baby firefly sleeps in his bed? I bet he just missed your voice and is why he falls asleep so easily on you!

Great video! Since we don’t have Homeschooling in Germany it’s interesting to see how it works (of course every person does it differently i assume) but nonetheless it’s a foreign concept to me and very fun to watch! I do have one question tho. I am a teacher for primary schools in Germany, i went to university for 4 years and studied education and teaching methods etc.
it just seems a bit odd to me ( from my perspective as a teacher from Germany ) that in the U.S basically any one can be a teacher and educate their children at home without having had the education to teach children, you know what i mean? In Germany we have Schulpflicht which means that every child must go to school at the age of six, there is no such thing as homeschooling since it is believed that only teachers that studied teaching and education can teach children properly. Don’t get me wrong i’m not saying that you’re incapable of teaching your children, it seems like you’re doing an amazing job and the effort you put into the subjects & the way you teach shows! I was just wondering if some days you doubt your decision to home school & think about sending your children to a regular school since for children going to school is not only about learning but also about socializing & making friends and studying in groups etc.

Do the homeschool kids in your area have to take the state's end of year testing?

Chana blending of all three kids together in the classroom is so reminiscent of the one room schoolhouse from Little House on the Prairie! Minus Nellie Olsen!!! And so cute Bella joined - she is such a big part of the family! Off to a great school year mom and teacher of four!

All honesty though, more parents should do this as (I think) brings you closer to your children.

Your last two videos have inspired me to restart my Bible study. I am inspired to maybe start it for my family as well. Learning throughout life is so important.

I love love love Little House. I had all the books when I was little . I was an avid reader until I had my son. I have to get back into reading . It has been almost 25 years that he was born and I have read much less due to working and being so busy due to his disabilities. I am his major support and I have my own daycare as well so I can be at home. So I am getting toward 60 and so tired by evening .

I have never thought to make hot chocolate like that but it's brilliant. Totally doing it like that for my kids from here on out.

Well organized. Love the pictures hung up so dad can see and compliment. Thank you for encouraging cursive, themed lessons and classics. Your eldest is a good with cursive, your daughter with nice clear numbers and the little guy works well at his pace. Congrats everyone!

Hello Chana, I get tired just watching you 😁😁 Kudos for teaching your children cursive. I have two granddaughters in Florida who were never taught cursive in school. I'm hoping as they get older they will learn on their own. I taught them a little whenever I visited but there was never enough time, hopefully the books I sent them helped. Never understood why schools would think that cursive was an obsolete practice! Love that baby Firefly sleeps through it all including the vacuuming. Blessings on your day.

I don’t understand this American school system. What is this homeschooling for and how is it allowed? For sure here it’s not mandatory to go to public school, you can transfer children to be a private student if you are rich or the child is doing competitive sports, but it just means you pay for teachers and get flexible schedules. Otherwise how the majority of parents are competent enough ? Yeah there are subjects like history or literature which can be pulled off by some, but mathematics, physics or chemistry??

Also I am so super impressed with how you haven't skipped a beat - your upload schedule hasn't changed since having Baby Firefly, you haven't missed a single video, and you've still been able to put a wonderful curriculum together and continue homeschooling. How long does each lesson last? I checked out your other video and never heard the average amount of time per lesson (though perhaps I missed it.)

I wish I had a teacher like you when I was at school, my daughter (3yo) loves anything to do with scissors ( she calls them snippers) she loves craft and reading

Do you have a video of how you prepare your children's lessons for the next day?

When you educate at home, do your children have to take state assessment tests to see how far they have come in home schooling? I am a retired teacher - Jewish - and I am just interested. It looked very relaxing and enriching for your children.
