I wholeheartedly agree with Raging Bull being #1. An absolute ripper of a film.

If you think Raging Bull has no depth and doesn't require you to think, then I can come to only one conclusion: you haven't seen Raging Bull.

Very true. I think it comes down to whether you prefer character studies or more expansive stories. At the end of the day, both are exceptional movies.

Personally, I think "Clerks" should have been on this list. But "I'm not even supposed to be here today!"

Can anyone help me with this old black/white classic movie i saw in the 90's. I think it was a british or american classic movie about this police guy who i think, was looking for company and so he got hooked up with a classy prostitute, whom he'd go to this small apartment and afterwards he'd always get in & out the window after she was asleep and changed appearance, i think he was called Mister X by this old bartender who helped him change his disguise. Anyway, they fall in love at the end....

The only films on this list I've seen are Sin City, Young Frankenstein, and Schindler's List.

I did not see "Ed & His Dead Mother", "Frankenweenie", or "Fido" on the list. Otherwise an excellent list.

Clerks and Down by Law are both amazing.

'FIDO' is a great movie and one of my favorite zombie comedies,.... but it wasn't in black and white, unless it came as a special feature on another disc or something?

I know, I remembered it wrong for some reason. You are correct. I remembered Ed & his Dead Mother wrong too for some odd reason, Maybe parts were in B&W. I'm not sure. But the original Frankenweenie was in B&W, I found it here on YT.

The new Frankenweenie is in black and white too, although this was uploaded in 2011, before the full length film came out. No harm no foul dude, I'm sure they would have included it if this was uploaded more recently... Like you, I still feel like there are some films missing. IDK. Anyway, I still definitely would have put Schindler's list as 1 and Young Frankenstein as 2.

I kind of agree with that too, but Clerks should be in the top three as well. Was this supposed to be in any particular order though? I just figured it was a random order.

Ya, these are good lists but I rarely agree with the ordering so I just chalk it up to 'in no particular order' and leave it at that... and I might get some flak for this but I don't think I would put clerks in MY top 3. It definitely belongs on this list... The movie has some of the most unique and ground-breaking comedy I had ever seen up to that point, but for me a lot of the scenes were hit or miss. Maybe I need to watch it again, idk.

I've only seen Sin City, Good Night and Good Luck, Pi, Clerks, Ed Wood, Eraserhead, Young Frankenstein, Elephant Man, Last Picture Show, Schindler's List, and Raging Bull.

I really need a help with finding a movie, please help I'll tell you the story it's a black and white movie but in the middle of it colors appear in the movie because of a man with blue eyes who enters the coffee shop while a girl works in that coffee shop notice that man blue eyes and her world change colors from black and white to colors this girl has a problem with sleeping, she don't sleep because shes so sad about the death of her dad and mom .. that's what I remember .. I wish someone would read this and could help me finding the movie.

Its black and white, modern i think movie. Plot goes with a family man that with his small gang goes and breaks into homes and steals stuff, police knows that he is guilty, but has no evidence, so they follow him 24/7 in order to catch him in action, he hides his head with a hoodie when going out in public...
