Am watching this now for the 1st time. Pretty good movie. I was born in 64, and from 75 to 80 skated a lot. Until I got my drivers license. Got on a board recently my nephew had, and about killed myself, lol. Christian performance in this movie is really good. I can see why he had success as an actor early on. He was constantly being compared to Jack Nicholason back then. Which is not a bad thing to be compared to. Having Tony Hawk to be your mentor as a 1st time skater is a pretty good teacher to have to say the least. I always wonder if I never quit skating how far I could have taking it. "It's on a loop at my house". Haha!

Gleaming the Cube & Hard Rain are criminally underrated. Very entertaining flicks.

I've seen Slater in more formal interviews, on panel shows, and he always comes across as awkward. Seeing him in a less formal, more relaxed environment when he's talking with someone he's comfortable with, totally different energy. His charisma really comes out.

I always imagined that skateboard, at the end, weighed like 50 lbs. 😆

Even when it came out, it stunk and showed what a poser Slater is !

Christian Slater was the pinnacle of cool when I was a kid. He's around 10 years older than me and I wanted be him so bad. Pump Up The Volume? True Romance? Come on, coolest dude ever. And even Gleaming the Cube he was so cool, even though they made him wear those lame ass pads after the first 20 minutes. But don't forget that his mom bought him those pads... lol. So it wasn't his fault. 😁😁

Watched this in 1990 stoned with a skater dude I had a massive crush on.. was one of my fav moments still to this day, I was 15 ..🤭... love this movie..🙏🏼
