I was so invested in the cast for 8 seasons, until she appeared and absolutely stole the spotlight from everyone else. Easily, the best character in it.

Robin and Tracy are literally. When Robin saw the ring in season 2 she immediately snapped and said NO 10 times without even listening. Here Tracy did the same and opposite, immediately started saying YES without even listening.

I will never forget the writers for taking Travy from us. But i do think there is something poetic abiut both of them having their first loves. Ted's was Robin and Tracy's passed away. At the end of the show both of them reunite with their first loves (if you believe in the idea of an afterlife).

God she is perfect for Ted. There is no rush but, just them vibing. I really didn't give any heed to Ted for his obsession towards Robin through all the seasons but, him and Tracy ranked up above Ronin and Barney for me at the finale. They really proved that they were the protagonist couple plus I loved Ted when he was around Tracy. For me they happily lived ever after and Barney and Robin took the same road but, just in a different way.

So wonderful story. Waiting for so long to finally see "the mother". Ted and Tracy met.
And show creators failed the end of this journey...

I'm crying over my breakup right now. Which is totally my fault. Then seeing this made me realize that I think she is the one.

Perfect casting. Not easy to pull it off after people waited eight seasons to see her, but by God the creators and the lovely actress pulled it off.

For me there should have been a season 10.
With 2 episodes focused on Tracy of how she met Ted and 22 episodes of what happened between 2014 and 2030 but of course Tracy won't be dead.

Absolute trash writing, killing Tracy off in the end. Everybody absolutely detested that decision. Ted ending up with Robin in the end was fucking whack. Don't get me wrong, Robin was fine. But she is not even close to what Tracy was or to what Ted and Tracy had together.

They should have made ted grieve for Tracy.
Instead they made her just a plot device for Ted to have kids.
Because Robin doesn’t want kids and can’t have kids.

Why did they have to ruin the ending after a 10 season lead-up!

Sigh. I understand that Tracy passed away. Things happen in life. But they should have ended the story there. I was honestly moved by the proposal scene at the lighthouse. Tracy was one of those people who made Ted's crazy, topsy-turvy journey through romance worthwhile, the light at the end of the tunnel, that girl you only meet once in 1000 lifetimes. I do love the actor who plays Robin but her character on the show did not merit being the female lead. After dating (and marrying!) Barney, the bro code was broken and there should have been no going back.

If there had never been Tracy, maybe I could see it. We waited so long to meet Tracy only to be shocked that she had been worth the wait! The writers should have understood.

Her death wasn’t completely unnecessary, she deserved to grow old with Ted. However… that’s life, and it fcking sucks

Chose the perfect cast to play The Mother, the audiences LOVE her, but decided to go back to the Robin ending anyway.

the writers, not so much.
the writers ruined the ending, scarring the show, refusing to change course.
the last several seasons - the only episodes worth watching were the opener, midseason, and season finale.
everything else just filler.

and last season was SO bad.
all about a wedding, which ends up in divorce, and then off a main character in 2episodes.
im still pissed, and always will be.

After 4 season i was tired..so i watched the ending..glad i didnt waste more time on this..

I like the fact that their relation was almost mystical. We only have few scenes of Ted and Tracy but it's ok, they have their happinness and this special chimestry between them, no need to see more.

Just finish the show for the fourth time and it's still a pleasure. I like the ending, even if they should wrote the final Season differently besides to focus the weeding. They should made a movie, i would love that !!

Tracy was literal perfection and in my heart she was end game. Her singing in the beginning made me shed a tear. I love her and Ted’s chemistry.

Ted was in love with idea of love and marriage and not with the person

But was in love woth tracy thats why it worked..

Lily said "not like this. This is different." But it was different because Ted was finally able to truly give someone a chance because Robin was out of the picture.

I hate that Josh Radnor actually nailed it and managed to look SO IN LOVE with Tracy. His eyes never looked that genuine and adoring, he never had such a chemistry with anyone. And it goes both ways. I feel like it wasn´t supposed to work, but even with such few scenes, they sold it 100%. And then the show ruins their story and basically makes it seem like she was his next best option, because Robin didn´t want kids. It cheapens their love story so much and I hate everything about it

They made a strong, beautiful point of showing that Ted found something with Tracy that he never found with any other woman, including Robin...and then he ends up with Robin after Tracy dies? Seriously? I like Robin, but she wasn't EVER right for him. Ugh.

They should have skipped the entire 8th and 9th seasons, which were pointless and boring, all the characters were getting annoying. Instead, they should have added a whole season with Tracy and Ted. This is how the introduction to the gang and Ted was very cheesy. Also, the ending would have been more acceptable if Tracy had been given more time in the series
