I agree completely with Levy. The high of winning cannot compensate for agony in the pit of losing.

Honestly, Levy saying "I'm sad when top players make fun of me" surprises me, since he consistently trash talks NMs and FMs in his streams. It's a completely understandable feeling and I think these chess giants whose opinions he values should take that into account, but, if he does not see that as sportsmanship, why would he reproduce such behavior? Does it not cross his head that he is in the same pantheon as Hikaru and other masters to many people below IM level?
Notice I'm not talking about Guess The Elo and similars, for us plebeians are signing up to get roasted when we submit our games.

I liked the way Levy talked about the cheating scandal. Took no sides and just told the audience what the facts were.

A Gotham Chess Club would be amazing to foster the chess culture that made chess cool among younger people.

I really enjoyed this interview because it felt less Q and A and more like a real conversation. Loved learning about the analytics Levy explained and also insight into the streamer life. A new chess club sounds amazing in NYC!!

this cun1 levy is just salty that he can't use magnus to click bait on his recap for the world championship and his view will plummet. He couldn't give a fk less if magnus play or not, it's just about getting the money for this crypto shill.

This felt different to other podcasts where Levy was featured, a bit more frank and personal. The insights your questions evoked and the understanding you brought to the podcast were great Ben! Can't wait for the Magnus interview :D
