Did the MRE not have a heat packet? I’ve watched a few people review MRE’s and they had something to heat the food in the MRE

if they were actually enlisting and actually doing the training with a group they would be getting absolutely grilled at least in the first part of the video

The bag your friend was holding was the heating component of the MRE; all you had to do was open the bag put the closed food pouch in and add water.
