I have noticed my example has uneven grinds for the flats... almost a cm shorter on one side and also the thickness of the flat is different. very noticeable when closed since you have the scales as reference...

Not having symmetrical clip mounting is just lazy/cheap at this point. Sometimes I clip my knife on the outside of my pants for various reasons. Right side clip makes the draw and deploy kinda fiddly so I flip the clip around on the small knives I regularly wear like that. Sometimes I carry a fixed on my right side and a folding in my left pocket for backup. My camping folder's clip is flipped around for that reason. I can draw and deploy and use entirely leftie in most simple cases. Clip discomfort for lefties is pretty knife+hand specific and you could always remove it entirely if it hot spots that bad in the left hand but come on! That's silly when 99% of the time the only thing standing in the way of a reversible clip is 2 holes and maybe some vanity. Some knives have some asymmetrical design thing going on that prevents it and that's perfectly fine but no leftie love for no reason is dumb. This rightie is with ya!

Curious to see how you feel about this knife, I personally think it's overrated. Too small and the copper one I bought for a GAW has a soft detent. it's not horrible but I don't understand the hype

It's my favourite EDC although the RAT 2 is second. It comes down to blade profile and flipper vs thumbstuds. With D2 the prices must be similar. The Elementum is very good looking.

I reprofiled mine to 19° after a 6 months and that made a huge difference in performance. Cheers!

It's hard to be disappointed in a CIVIVI, I ordered the Praxis today actually, in black micarta. Been wanting to check one out for a while now. I've heard a few say they like it better than the rat 1, which I find that difficult to believe, but I'd say it's not going to disappoint.

I got this few days ago, i really like it. Civivi is cool, i ordered fixed blade elementum too, it was nice price on sale.

Cool knife! Also I think one of my close friends works there, unless there are more than 3 major robotics companies in Ottawa Ontario lol.

Also I've had good luck with House of Knives for reasonably priced blades. Their elementum is still around 80ish for the base model, but that's still an extra 10 bucks to spend on back bacon or maple syrup :P.

I'm actually planning to order their Damascus version just because it's actually more stainless than the standard model XD. D2 rusts up super quickly where I live so, I'd rather have the 9Cr18MoV Damascus version, I do wish we could get a cheaper stainless option though, in either 14C28N, 440C or VG10, great video!
