Fourth graders from St. Andrew's Schools performed a Nativity play on the altar of St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Tuesday morning (Dec. 5).
Costumed keiki from The Priory and The Prep stepped into the roles of Mary, the mother of Jesus, Joseph, her husband, angels, Magi, sheep, donkey and even the Christmas star.
The play started with an angel announcing to Mary that she would give birth to Jesus and segued to Mary, Joseph and their donkey walking (and crawling, in the case of the girl who played the donkey) down the middle aisle of the church to the manger. Students assembled in the church ended their event by singing, "Go Tell It On the Mountain."
