Asters blossom into the autumn / fall and provide a valuable late source of nectar and pollen for insects. Here a Harlequin ladybird, honey bee & hover fly feed, and a tiny shieldbug? nymph rubs its legs on top of a floret.
Filmed in a garden in Birmingham, UK, using a Z-Cam E2-M4 cinema camera and Sigma EX 105mm macro lens. Original footage ProRes 422.
