Finally a show that I watched too 😩

I genuinely couldn't figure out if we were supposed to like Amelia or not. It was nice to see Dakota Fanning again. And Nicole Kidman's accent was almost as confusing as Moira Rose.

Austin, you want a recommendation: “Terminator: Zero.” One of the best TV shows of 2024.

Remember when Nicole Kidman was one of the Queens of the Silver screen? Now, she’s the Queen of Netflix. That’s what streaming services do—swallow up great actors and turn them into meh actors.

I love murder mystery/whodunit shows and movies, and so this series worked perfectly for me. I was hooked episode to episode, and the ending was really satisfying.

IMO: Good binge. Great show.

This show was a huge letdown. It tries to be too many things at once, and fails almost at every single one. It's all over the place while never really landing anywhere for more than a minute. The story is both too simple and too far-fetched, as if the writers didn't really know where they were going and made it up as they went.

Waiting for you to watch the GOAT!

Austin, a recommendation that might pique your interest is a South Korean TV series called "Those Who Read the Hearts of Evil" (On Netflix where I have seen the series is titled "Through the Darkness"). It's basically South Korea's version of Mindhunter and it is impossible not to compare the two shows, but the Korean series is nothing to sneeze at as I found it really gripping and well executed, for the most part. If you can navigate through the characteristics of Korean filmmaking, I think you would enjoy this one.

It's a fun watch. If you like seeing murder mysteries and/or rich families, this is a good show for you.

Obituary 2023 is nice dark comedy from Ireland.

A good show. Well written and looking good. A smart and modern take on Agatha Christie's crime novels.

For me this guy Austin is clueless. He doesn't like this and he thinks Dune 2 is a masterpiece... LOL on both counts.

Loveeed kidmans character and dakota fannings...really disliked the bride (can't even remember her name I found her that boring and dislikable) maybe a bad casting choice IDK

I think Kidman's character was likeable, only when looking at her on a superficial level she seemed unlikable because people hate strong females. She truly cared for her children and I feel that objectively she did very little wrong. I felt that she was behaving quite reasonable through the entire thing and had a lot less contempt for people around her than some of the others. She supported her entire family financially and even emotionally, whereas her useless husband betrayed her, didn't care for any of his children and didn't even make money.

The usual woke nonsense. Women are all boss girls, men are weak and incompetent.... Change the record already! No wonder young men are turning to Andrew Tate.
Acting is wooden at times, story doesn't make sense, Eve Hewson can only be in the show due to nepotism because her acting is terrible, her friend traps the dad by getting pregnant and no one calls her out, one of the sons takes random pills he steals - wtaf.
You are right that all the characters are unlikeable

I stuck with it just to find out if they’d redeem it at the end. It was okay. The whole time I was thinking, how did this girl get cast as the lead? I didn’t get it. Then Wikipedia gave me the answer afterwards.

There were some things that made no sense. Like why would Amelia act so weird about seeing Shooter on the train years before if nothing actually happened between them? And why is the brother crashing the fan meet and greet and taken out by security if she had already helped him pay off his gambling debts? Those were both just to mess with us.

I binged-watched it in three days. Even so I paid less attention as the story evolved, I feel cheated. It was unconvincing, boring and predictable.

Dull and disappointing.
First of all, I am tired of Nicole Kidman being in every movie/series in the past years. She also executive produces these to go-all-glam to her liking.
This mini series is such a soapy mess that's hard to find someone to root for.
It's almost like they gather a bunch of rich, entitled narcissists and find an empty plot to play with.

This series is like Knives Out, Big Little Lies and White Lotus all wrapped up into one. Nicole Kidman and Dakota Fanning are some hard-working women this year. I think Jack Reynor is a pretty good actor and became a fan of his since Transformers: Age of Extinction but didn't had chance to see him in Midsommer.
