Good job, can I have your contact, I want to fix my windows too.
ОтветитьI do auto body professionally, and let me tell you. Mudding & sanding took me the longest because I can’t stand highs & lows. I want everything to be perfectly straight 😂😂😂
ОтветитьDude thank you for doing a tutorial that makes SENSE for finishing a preexisting window. What do you do for an arched window if the hole in the drywall is a rectangle? The last owner of my place never finished it and the drywall edges even broke off in some places. 🥲 I've currently got foam setting to take care of the draft, but my situation is so weird that I don't know how to handle the upper half of the window
ОтветитьAmazing work!❤
ОтветитьExcellent job! So you won’t need a window sill? I’ve removed tile sills and not sure how to replace…
ОтветитьWhy the spray texture?
ОтветитьThe information is so good, I had to subscribe!
ОтветитьThanks very nice explanations n I like so much.👍
ОтветитьThis is a great video, definitely following this technique as I repair my daughter’s house🎉
ОтветитьCan you come and fix my old windows too. You are such a neat professional
ОтветитьThat looks sick. I hate trim around windows lol.
ОтветитьBest video I've seen on this. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьThanks for showing this because i was curious how people prepping around the window for installing the tile although ypu used drywall rather than the tile, but i assume we can use tile over drywall with the same prepping that you showed?
ОтветитьLove watching your videos. I have a question my window has bigger gap between wall the the window like maybe 1.5" because my shiety contractor measured wrong. How would I cover the gap?
ОтветитьAwesome Job
ОтветитьWhat can we use in the bathtub sill instead of drywall?
ОтветитьGreat Video! What is corner trim piece you used in the video? Does it come with different depth?
ОтветитьNice explanatory video, thanks! I was wondering, in my case I have enough gap all around inside window frame to run my sheetrock strips actually back into that gap all around as well. I was thinking, why not do this? Still caulk and use foam as needed, but why not?
ОтветитьHow did you remove the recess trim? The first part you did where your video was on high speed.
ОтветитьFantastic video! Thank you!
Ответитьthank you for this detailed video
ОтветитьSubscribed right away! You have no idea how long I've been trying to find a detailed video of how to do this. You did such an amazing job describing everything and bless you a hundred fold for adding the items in the description to help me figure out what I'll need for the job. I have been bragging about this video to my whole family. I've never done drywall but now I'm getting some confidence I can do this myself, even with the lack of skills :) THANK YOU!
ОтветитьHow long does it take for everything to dry? I’m wondering if I can do this all in one day?
ОтветитьPerfect video! I was freaking out about what I could do to this window. 🙏🏾
ОтветитьDrywall absorbs water hence mold!
ОтветитьGreat video. Reall nicely explained. Thank you
Ответить👍👍😉
ОтветитьGood example of a simple DIY look. One detail about the caulk: when smoothing it with your finger, the caulk should only cover about 1/4" of the window frame. The caulk needs to be painted, because dust will stick to unpainted caulk and it cannot be cleaned. And you don't want excess paint visible on your window frame. So keep it tight.
ОтветитьI use pre set 20 minute mud in gaps. It doesn't shrink like jt compound.
ОтветитьThanks this helps
ОтветитьHoly crap never use hot mud for a sanding coat it don’t sand well
ОтветитьThank you for helping this old gal out! You make it look so easy!
ОтветитьIt hurts to watch this, I’m sure it came out good but he needs some more experience applying mud. Also it looks way better to trim the window with wood and a decorative casing around. Less work and looks better.
ОтветитьHello !
Tell me pls about the paper corner !
What is the name exactly. I would like to buy it from Amazon if is available.
Thank you !
What separates the inside from the outside? There is a gap between my drywall and the window, and I'm worried that if I remove it I'll have a bigger gap, or remove what the window is sitting on so there isn't anything but exterior caulk sitting between the gap and the exterior. Does that question make sense? And is it something a professional would need to answer? Lol
ОтветитьWood casing will always add value to a home. What you did here actually lowers the value of the house. Finish trim work is a great add to any home.
ОтветитьNice work. I’m the opposite, I want to rip out the drywall finish around my windows and install wood trim details.
ОтветитьGreat video. Can you link to the "corner bead" you used to give the window edges a straight edge. I have googled to find this and I cant find it. I am in Europe so we might call it something else here.
ОтветитьGreat video…very informative and it’s just like my project! Thank you very much
ОтветитьOmg this is exactly what I need to do for my house I’m renovating!! Going to follow step by step for my bedroom! Anything special i should do for bathroom windows???
ОтветитьThe sides didn't need corner bead but the top and bottom did? Can you explain why not all edges? Thanks
ОтветитьNice 👍 just looks wavy
ОтветитьFinally I found a video that is very well detailed and easy to follow!! I’m a single mother who recently just got ripped off by a contractor $50,000!! He started the job and left me with a huge mess and no money to hire someone else to fix it! Wish me luck trying to do this myself. I have everything I need to do this job. I just need to take it slow and steady.
ОтветитьGreat video. I am redoing some windows and wasn't really sure what I want to do with window ledge. My brother did some of my window ledges this way. Unfortunately he passed away and I didn't get to watch him do the work. I will by trying this. However I may do the bottom edge with wood.
ОтветитьThose windows look awesome you don't even need trim
ОтветитьGreat video! Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьGreat job. I am just about to do a very similar job.
Ответить12 minute video. In reality a 2 day job waiting for compound to dry, paint to dry.
ОтветитьThank you for this great video. Easy for someone like me who knows absolutely nothing to be able to follow. I need to repair sill damage in my apartment and I'm confident I can do so thanks to you.
ОтветитьThanks for breaking this process down. As someone who never did this process before, with your video. I was able to repair my window trim on my own!
