ОтветитьAutomaticCoding, it depends on the person who explains it and what he/she is explaining. Its a very fine line. Although you are right that "web server" states usually H11tp/s , it doesn't have to be only those protocols. For example, an embedded video streaming from a website will use an RTP or UDP protocol. Not to mention that the web site on a web server is just the tip of the iceberg with all the protocols and standards used in the process. So web server is most often term used for websites.
ОтветитьBucky...... did you know you have a website?
Ответить"Hi" (from the dude in Europe)

ОтветитьWhen a server is installed in a house, it's more commonly used for home automation or security cameras. I've never heard of anybody using one for casual computing just in their house. It would be a lot simpler to share your files using a flash drive in that type of environment.
Ответитьaint the internet a network of networks that connect through servers?

You're funnny bro ! :D
the internet is not a bunch of web pages but a bunch of connected or interconnected nodes. the web links hypertext i.e webpages. an interconnected cluster of computers are called an intranet. These can be accessed via the internet or isolated from the internet (also called local intranet). There is also extranet but that's a newer term
Ответитьi'm offended..i'm web developer

ОтветитьHmmm.... I just thought, there's this game I play called KSP (Kerbal Space Program) and I think I should make an internet mod! Since you can launch satelites, I think it would be interesting to construct computer networks in space... Oh well! Time to shoot this idea down!
ОтветитьHahaha as the chick in Australia, I really appreciate your unassuming simplicity!!! I’m a total noob to the inner workings of the internet and damn your explanations are THE BEST out there! So stoked to find your channel. Thanks so much internet guru slash master teacher, mad respect.
