The relentless promotion of this show tells me it’s destined to fail. I realize the character is the focus of the show, but she’s like too much the center of attention. It’s overdone.

When you have a Ritter progeny, you’re doomed to fail. I love Kathy Bates, because she’s good in damn near everything but…well, I’m gonna have to give this show a chance. When I heard she was going to be portraying Matlock, well that just spoke of how talented she is, but now, I’m doubting the premise.

I truly HATE the title but the show looks entertaining from this trailer... Literally making a show's title "click bait" is pathetic and manipulative and is the reason I will not watch it.

How ridiculous...they take an iconic male character and have to change it to a female....how typical and unwatchable. Not even Kathy Bates could save this.

It's ok but why is the series called Matlock? I don't get it. If you ask me, no disrespect to Miz Bates she is phenomenal but three episodes into season 1 and the plot is not about the law and courtroom drama but like some kind of hacker spy movie.

Love the show and love Kathy Bates, the rest of the cast are great too.
I never like re boots of successful show that are generally done poorly but this show pays respect to the great Andy Griffith as Matlock.
Great humour and charm from all in this series and as we know charm was Andy Griffiths greatest attribute.

I'm 76 too. Kathy Bates has had an amazing career. It is good to see her play someone near her own age. Unfortunately I will not watch because the fictional program supports getting a job based on lies and deceit

This show is so good, but only 10 episodes for the first season. I remember when they use to do something like 32 episodes a season. Then there was a summer replacment show!
