The amount of times I have seen call out posts that have just been “Bro was mean to me when we dated” or “I misunderstood what this person’s intentions were and instead of confronting them in dms im making it public” drives me insane.
It makes me more upset when people tease callout posts or make a p2. You are looking for clout! And it makes me take legitimate callouts less seriously. Cuz now I’m looking at them with suspicion of the victim and it Sucks so much

I know static has probably had people do him wrong or annoy that he could call out but it's not worth it. Myself included I have people I could call out but it's not worth it some of its petty stuff or myself being an idiot getting scammed by a grifter who's not even a vtuber anymore plus the money lost is not worth pursuing legal actions.

A lot of drama would be dead in the water if people chose to communicate like adults rather than posting petty shit on Twitter (to reiterate, that's not the same as calling out shitty behaviour jfc) and better still, drama tubers, who I'd go so far as to call parasites, would lose one of their main flows of income, so win-win.

Like 99% of callouts have always been petty horseshit that could be solved if they just talked it out in DMs, and honestly says more about the person making the callout than the person they're trying to humiliate.

Which really sucks for that 1% of callouts genuinely trying to bring criminal behavior to light.

Why is it every time I get some sort of feeling about our community, I suddenly see a StaticTokyo video about it?! XD

Real talk frfr, I feel like callout posts these days are because our community is deadset on finding something to rally behind or be upset about. I might get heat for saying that. Buuuuuuuuut... that's what I see.

(Good video. Much love and am happy for your success so far. Keep up the great work.)

Let's not forget about the self-righteous VTubers that have these long ass streams discussing a situation for the world to see (because gotta get that revenue, right?) and then will make a Google Doc repeating everything they said just for Twitter attention. In my minimal experience, most only do it to "cover their own ass", "defame someone they see as a threat", or simply "for attention". The sad thing is that it be the same folks that say "I'm tired of drama" or "I hate drama" that'll be front and center getting all the tea and don't wanna handle shit like adults in private.

I'm not a big fan of policing people on how they should have liked, talked about, they're like feelings and things, because it's like, I don't know, I feel like when I see like call out posts, saying, this is how I fell out with this person, or this is how I'm not talking to this person anymore, I don't see it as, oh, well, this is a call out post, and I'm so much better, I see it as a person that was mistreated and decided to openly come out about it, because they don't have enough people in their space that would be willing to listen to them. Lot of people that I've seen them a call out post after they make the post they're like, I'm moving on, I don't care, don't make this bigger than what it needs to be, and I see people that want to make it bigger than what it needs to be mostly make these post blow up even more, the person that made the post they want to move on, and they've already moved on. They vented out their frustration their valid

Probably making a document is so much easier than confrontation. I am honestly appalled with how vtuber is growing into this direction. While there are things worth publicizing for the sake of transparency and safety, there are DEFINITELY things not worth airing out.

If my dashboard is going to be filled with that (I hope not), then honestly, it's time for me to cleanse my dash and move on and touch some grass bc this aint the vibes I want to see.

I do appreciate your light-hearted approach to these events because 1. we're doom-scrolling too much and 2. there's a lot of weird stuff that is just...non-issues (like a lot of that stuff could be solved by communication).

There's a difference between calling out something legit heinous and/or criminal versus yapping about childish drama.

Idk if it's a Twitter thing, a maturity thing, both or what but I've seen a lot of weird stuff in the vtubing community ever since I dabbled in it.

Edit: Not trying to generalize, but from a personal perspective of someone who has done both flesh-tubing content for years as well as vtubing content, I just tend to see way more stuff on the vtubing side of Twitter. That's not to say that there isn't fleshtuber drama, there absolutely is.

I just wonder if the anonymity of vtubing allows for people to be a little more bold and clownish/immature or if the general community is younger and still figuring life out.

It's almost exhausting because when you scrub away all the attention-grabbing words, it just shows how an actual conversation was backseated by trying to ruin someone's career for a week or so.

The only thing I don't agree with is not calling somebody out that does something extremely horrible to you, I wouldn't call it a call out, but I would call it a vent I hate when people call you and say that you're just trying to call out of person, but really, it's not always a call out considering most people in this community only want you for like collabs and all of that, and only to make videos with you, I wouldn't be shocked if somebody was treated so badly to the point where they took to their main account and then decided to vent about that horrible mistreatment, because there's nobody they can really talk to, there's no friends, they can really trust or talk to , because guess what, everybody only wants you to be in a collab or to play games with honesty mostly a lot of people like to tear people down that are open about their emotions and say, oh, well, why do you come here instead of getting a therapist, and I think its so in-validating and degrading, because not everybody has the money for a therapist not every body can afford to sit next to somebody and just talk it out with a therapist... Not to mention the same people that belittle you and say that you shouldn't talk about your issues because it's the Internet are the same people that wouldn't actually give you the time of day and actually care about your mental health or even ask you if you're ok why do you care about how people let their feelings out and how people talk about their feelings when you're not even the one helping them you're not the one talking to them and you're not the one even like giving them the slightest bit of comfort this is one of the main reasons why I have to ask this question the people like that because if you're not interested in giving them any advice or helping them why put them down because they openly talked about somebody that treated them badly rather that be through social media because let's be real most people have social anxiety most people can not talk I mean and not all but a lot of people struggle with making connections off the Internet like I do I didn't start losing my connections because I was on the Internet, but I had a hard time talking to people due to disabilities and & speech problems along with social anxiety I believe that not every person talking about their shitty situation with somebody, it should be taken as a call out post our drama because some people just want some comfort in that moment and not looking for something bigger, and it shouldn't be on them to be like, oh, well, you know, this should not have became bigger because some people wanted to make it bigger, some people just want to vent, get some comfort and then leave it at that
