2 areas that we see get missed are the outside of the front door and blinds. The front door is your first impression and it's easy for a cleaner to miss it.
ОтветитьI know this is a bit old, but is there any way to deal with 'unauthorized' pet damage these days
ОтветитьSpeaking of housekeeper my niece cleans my airbnb, and yesterday when I went there she was coming back to my apartment with the mop and bucket that I brought for my apartment, was she using my stuff to clean another apartment? I didn't say anything, however it stays on my mind being that she also has an airbnb in the same building. Her sister manages my apartment, I have a short temper and I don't want to explode.
ОтветитьThank God I have never encountered such guests over here in the PNW! Wow!
ОтветитьGood Information, Thanks
ОтветитьCleaners miss coffee filters a lot, entrance door mat, behind bedroom doors,
ОтветитьYou’re awesome, thank you for all of this info!
ОтветитьMost missed areas:
1. Drawer below the oven
2. HVAC filter grille and ceiling fans
3. Underneath couch, chair cushions, and bed
4. Baseboards and interior windows
5. Kitchen cabinets and drawers
What if u only have 3 hours in a giant house with only 1 set of sheets for each bed and the entire house is surrounded by glass?
ОтветитьI trained cleaning teams for 8 years and everything you said is spot on and has to be taught and brought to peoples attention to clean.
ОтветитьAlrighty... I think I’ve viewed enough of your videos to pull the trigger on your course.
ОтветитьThe drawer at the bottom of your store is for keeping food warm. It is not a trap for grease and stuff.
ОтветитьI am a airbnb cleaner. You didn't mention to check the toaster crumb tray...so all you hosts and airbnb cleaners...dont forget the toaster crumb tray.
ОтветитьIm an air b&b cleaner and its true most cleaners miss that stuff. Im real thorough & i do most of them fe when i started the prev cleaner had dust 2in thick on the air vent i was shocked he had no complaints, fans caked thick w dust, that oven thing is true, its like a wax its so greasy. Another thing in surprised when i clean behind other cleaners is the bottom of toilets like the sides where the pipes are. Ive seen them so nasty. That’s I do a deep clean when i start new properties and do them every 2months. Ive had the same 3 superhost for 6+ mon.
ОтветитьAnother video of a successful businessman showing us how wonderful he is - whilst helping the world - what a guy
ОтветитьI was hoping to AirBnB my home when not used but I will not refund people for minor things like light dust if missed under the couch... granted I would clean but if anyone did this I would just delist the home and not bother with Airbnb and the A holes that try to screw people.
ОтветитьIonizer is great for smells and it also kills bugs, mice, or anything else that is alive in the place that shouldn't be (note: it will kill plants too). The other big rule is NO HAIRS. I find it gross when I find hairs in a hotel whether it is bedding, shower, counters, etc. Have a lint roller, duct tape, etc. so you can clean any surface where hair accumulates and it hard to clean off with cleaners, rags, etc.
ОтветитьI have rented two houses in Orlando Florida which turned out to be lemons bathtubs and bathrooms dirty and with mold and carpet smelling like crazy and the ventilation system dirty leaving see the dirt hanging off them in the ceiling
ОтветитьHaving a robotic vacuum or mop makes cleaning under furniture easy, provided the furniture is high enough off the ground. I use double stacked sliders so the robot can fit under. Some of the models empty themselves.
ОтветитьI was a house cleaner for almost 10 years, today I own couple homes and starting airbnb, these are part of regular cleaning.I mean maybe not opening the stove drawer, but handles, air vents, fans under bed ,couches (unles its a bed with no space under and u would have to move bed)which in that case i would ask home owners to either move it because if i hurt my back i would have to stay home days, medical etc..but even then sometimes they were elderly, i would use swifter.I would understand if if was once a month ,but airbnb this is usually done multiple times a week sometimes 10x a month to leave a house accumulate is just bad job.
ОтветитьSean, that drawer under your oven is actually a plate warmer if you're talking about the deep drawer under right under it. If its leaking there's something wrong with the oven.
ОтветитьOh really!! I stayed a AIRBNB for a week and it was soooo disgusting !! It was to the point that the everything was disgustingly dirty down to the dishes! The tub had a ring around it, the floor had mud prints , at one point in the night on my second night there were LARGE roaches in the bed . And I had already paid these people premium luxury fee’s to stay there. They basically played me out of my money. There was pee running down the base of the toilet, the floor was covered in some woman’s hair , even the sheets and blankets were covered in her hair. The rugs had snack crumbs all over… It wasn’t super obvious the first day because I was honestly so busy with my remote work , I was so stressed I wasn’t paying attention. I tried to get it resolved and they weren’t flexible so I attempted to get my money back. AIRBNB was so difficult to work with, I even sent them tons of photos and even the specialist speaking with me was disgusted and mortified himself. It took over a week to get a 25% refund then in the end I had to dispute with my bank. That’s sad.. So I really don’t see how people are getting 100% refunds with AIRBNB even in the worst conditions.
Ответитьcleaning the drip tray under the oven, dusting ceiling fans, cleaning air vents, the baseboards, and windows all falls under deep cleaning not a standard cleaning. cleaners aren’t forgetting to clean those things, you simply have to pay for a deep cleaning
ОтветитьHost be wanting so much but Don’t really want to pay
ОтветитьSo guest just come to get a free stay🤣🤣🤣by looking for problems
ОтветитьThat why I take pic
ОтветитьIf the refund policy is so strict on airbnb doesnt that mean that someone could make a mess and claim it was the cleaners not doing their job therefore getting a free stay as a scammer?
Ответитьif you have rock edging on walk ways, make sure to sweep them off sidewalk. you dont want your guests rolling an ankle on them. also, screens on windows and screen doors, make sure window is closed on entry screen door and carry a screen roller for quick repairs on rubber screen trim. and then theres the shower curtain, check often for discoloration on bottom from being wet and inside tub to long.(always remember " a folded shower curtain gets moldy" happy cleaning
ОтветитьThey actually have bottom drawers of stoves that are used as a broiler
ОтветитьI think most cleaners don't do windows it's a extra fee in residential so they should pay extra
ОтветитьHousecleaning don't do windows interior of fridges and stoves or drawers those are extra fees..that's why they don't do it because no one is paying the extra fee
ОтветитьSo I'm a bnb housekeeper and I do everything that you've talked about.. in fact today was shower curtain washing day.. i appreciate your video but don't say "Housekeepers" all in one bundle.. I'm the baseboard clean queen.. have a great day🙂
ОтветитьCOUCH after SEXgs: So, how do you really REMOVE dried liquids and solids that might come out of the human body during SEXGs?
ОтветитьFor us the most commonly missed things we notice as guests is the bbq and outside patio. The last two places we stayed had dead roaches on the patio (granted it’s the dessert and that’s common, but to an out of state guest who is unfamiliar with the ecosystem of the desert might note that as a complaint). As for the bbq, it’s either not cleaned thoroughly or the bbq tools are dirty. Personally I would keep the bbq tools inside. Some hosts don’t have room I suppose.
Ответить“This is something housekeepers don’t do well” Is actually quite insulting perhaps your housekeeper don’t do this well but these are all normal things that a true cleaning company would know. It doesn’t hurt to make the owners aware of this though
ОтветитьAre we gonna get paid extra for all this extra work 😂😂😂
ОтветитьComing in at over 6 ft tall I would had top of refrigerator ect... Most cleaning personal are short and completely blind to stuff is taller folk can see plainly lol
ОтветитьThings to avoid being gross: the inside/rim of garbage cans, the rings around drains in bathroom and kitchen sinks!
ОтветитьI’m a super host and manage several condos in Destin Florida… One of the things is a must and I require my cleaning staff and or cleaning company do … after sweeping, and vacuuming, and BEFORE mopping … I have them use a swiffer flat head mop with dusting pad. Under all the furniture, especially the couch, the beds underneath nightstands, and just a quick once around the baseboards, it makes a huge difference and only takes a few minutes.
ОтветитьI wonder if recording a video of what the house looks like right before guest stay, can help with someone claiming that it wasn’t clean. (I’m not in this business or have any experience, just an idea)
ОтветитьCheck for any wasp nest outside. I've had guests demand full refunds for this. We live in the countryside in a humid subtropical climate, and wasps will build nests overnight. Airbnb said that if I warn guests on my listing page then I wouldn't have to pay the refund in the future.
ОтветитьI am a cleaner for over 10 years and i know about all those things, but never have time for them. if they complain about them , i do clean them and never go back. it all depends on time given.
ОтветитьGreat tips
ОтветитьMost guests are great!
ОтветитьWe only have monthly cleaning here and NOT in the rooms.
ОтветитьRediculus claims! Shouldn't get any refund for that!!!
ОтветитьIt sounds like the guests have the whole right to just take advantage of the host.I'm thinking twice before I become a host
ОтветитьWhat would you do if when your cleaning hair keeps getting stuck to your cleaning rags?
