The first several chapters are mistranslated. A few times when it says Sons of Man, it means to say Sons of God, which means the Fallen Angels and their nephilim offspring. Chapter 4 verse 18 specifically, the book of enoch goes into greater detail, chapter 7, it actually says, the Sons of God took wives of human women, they gave birth to giants, some of which were 3,000 ells tall. Roughly 2.5 miles tall. The giants then began eat humans, and even other giants & drink their blood, then they got bored of the humans and started sinning against animals, which caused half human hybrids like centaurs, minotaur, gryphen, and lamia. Book of Jasher chapter 36 verse 32 is more evidence of this, describing various crossbred animal hybrids. Then God seen that all the flesh of the Earth had been corrupted, that's when he sent the flood, to wipe all that out.

False and misleading this says Enoch lived 65 years in chapter 3 but said he reigned over all men for over 200 in same chapter a little bit later on! You cant Be dead and reign at same time! FAKE book. That is why this was removed from the bible. It contradicts its self! GODS word is true and NEVER contradicts its self! Enoch lived to be over 300 years old according to the Book of Genesis. not 65!

So Adam the first man was put on earth post Iron age? How is Cain killing Able with the "iron" piece of his plow?

Where is the part about Noah releasing the raven and the dove after the waters had receded?

Blessed the Ethiopians warriors, monks and priests who preserved this marvelous book, the book of Enoch and others from the eyes of evils.

These books were cut out by the Catholic church, but honestly I trust the Vatican about as far as I can throw the pope mobile. I think more people should read these books and make up their own minds instead of just blindly following church doctrine. Just my 2 cents (adjusted to a hay penny for inflation)

Very close parallels with First and Second Books of Adam and Eve. Not a perfect alignment of the murder of Able , but interesting for research nonetheless and doesn’t necessitate the rejection of either book. Interestingly, there is always a debate about “inspiration and canonicity” but from an Eastern Orthodox perspective, inspiration is that which is True, and canonicity was that which was read to the church “Kerygmatically” during the Eucharistic Divine Liturgy from the time of the Apostolic Fathers. Using this definition we can understand and appreciate that the proto church would have used the Septuagint , New Testament, and the Apostolic letters primarily. However, as the Orthodox-Catholic church spread and developed its liturgical traditions, much of the pre-canonical literature of what was accepted as True in Holy Tradition is curated in literature that gets quoted within the Kontakia, Troparia, Stichera and poetical canons (κανών) which illuminate compline and matins services in the monastic practice in the 4th century. Eventually the cathedral rite and the monastic vigils meld creating a more recognizable form of worship on Eastern Orthodoxy that is still in effect to this day. There is a place for all of these works as they fulfill the designation “profitable for reading”. The ancient church retains their acceptable details preserved from extra biblical material and did not fear to incorporate certain non gnostic books into the service structure because they support the central Christian teachings. As has been implied by “canonical” scripture “let the reader understand” (Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14, and other similar formulas) these books provide the common context that a first century reader would have been familiar with.

So much of the NT relies on what was known and universally accepted by observant Jews who knew their history and the LXX. My dissertation is on the influence of ancient books into the Holy Tradition.

Mr Glynn makes beautiful recordings to enjoy these works so that we “readers will understand”. Sure we can read them ourselves, but we would say, “he has a voice for radio”. Thank you for such sincere efforts.

Already in the first chapter i discern two lies prove this book is not written from The Holy Spirit :

#1.11 - Gods "anger WASNT kindled against them" when they sinned - that is a lie , He simply dispensed appropriate judgement : emotion isn't relevant

#1.16 - Cain did not bring "inferior fruit" at all - it was his HEART that wasn't right before God that tainted his offering not the offering itself. it didn't matter what type Cain offered

The Joshua reference to Jasher is in modern Jasher but The 2 samuel 1 17 reference to a song or lamentation of the bow in Jasher can not be found in modern Jasher so modern Jasher is not the same one referenced in Joshua or Samuel. It is pseudepigrapha by the synagogue of satan possibly from the middle ages but maybe earlier . There are no prophecies of Jesus in it anywhere despite being very long. Esther has no prophecies at all but that is much shorter book. It is interesting book but not the real one from the bible, and hard to know if any of the things it is talking about are historically accurate or just made up like the nonsense in the talmud. 1 Titus 14 "don't give heed to jewish fables".

This is wrong. God only commanded ADAM not to eat the fruit. If you read Genesis, that is the proper order of things. HE was given the instruction from God. In fact, initially when this command was given to Adam - Eve didn’t exist yet 😵‍💫

I am wondering about this Book of Jasher. I thought it was a lost text. Lost. So how do we have it here? Who is the author?
