Girlfriend Sh**ts And K*lls Beyoncé’s Cousin Martell DeRouen AKA Kordone

In January 2021, Martell DeRouen, a 34-year-old aspiring music producer and rapper known as Kordone, was found murdered in his San Antonio apartment. A decorated U.S. Air Force veteran, Martell was linked to the famous singer Beyoncé through his family. The investigation revealed that he had been shot through the forehead, likely while looking through his peephole.

Sasha Skare, Martell's girlfriend at the time, emerged as a key suspect after video footage showed her near the crime scene. She was arrested and charged with murder. During the trial, Sasha claimed the shooting was accidental, occurring during a heated argument. However, evidence including text messages and DNA linked her to the crime scene, leading to a guilty verdict after just two hours of jury deliberation.

On August 29, 2023, she was sentenced to 55 years in prison, with Martell's family expressing their pain and relief at the verdict.
