I solved this ;) but the thing is that I knew there must be something there since this was presented as a problem ;) I"m not sure if I would be able to read all this in byo-yomi for example and be sure there is anything definitely in the end :)
ОтветитьA very nice example to prove my poor reading skills. Unfortunately the real challenge starts only after move 1, guess I need to wait another decade before getting my 5 D diploma.
ОтветитьNice problem! i agree with piotr above that real games are very different from being presented with a solvable problem. however in this example surely white has nothing to lose by invading the cutting points - as long as white is forced to reply.
ОтветитьMy new proverb is: “Be wary of cutting points when all the liberties are filled in”. The position just lóóks suspicious. Maybe another very practical proverb should be: “When a position looks suspicious, spend a move”. Practical when you are ahead. But nothing beats reliable reading ability, which I didn’t have enough for this problem.
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьIsn't the easiest way to start with H6? I thought that was the solution.
ОтветитьThe problem is "is there a problem or not?"
ОтветитьI am tygem 4D and KGS 1Dan and I solved within 1 minute and in my second trial from mind. I think 5 dan word is a little overrated.
ОтветитьI found it within 1 minute, but I'm definitely NOT 5 dan haha
ОтветитьOh, solved it in 20 sec. 6kyu
