Cool project!
ОтветитьThank you 🙂
ОтветитьWOW, these would make a super gift for the holidays. And for the fancy friends and family you can pare them up with a cutting board or salad bowl all made up of the same glue ups! Fancy!! LOL
Ответитьlong time subscribers will remember when steve made these years ago
ОтветитьYou know, Steve, the handles could be painted purple and the spork ends done with mineral oil. Now I'm giddy because I got to use the word "spork."
ОтветитьNice video as usual. I am going to give this a shot sometime soon.
Thanks for sharing!
Steve you are awesome, when are you going to do a meet and greet?
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this video, quick/easy project, and a perfect gift idea, along with a free template! Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks, Steve...fun little project. I liked doing it; my bride loved them...so the money for all my "toys" is paying off! :)
ОтветитьLooks like a sporkin' fish. I like.
ОтветитьHi , Can I do it with just a jigsaw? I don't have space for band saw so I don't have one ....
ОтветитьLove your videos and projects, Steve! I( recently made a couple of your razor sharpening boxes...sure beats the ratty pair of old jeans I left lying on my dresser!)
But I have to take exception to you recommending this as a good first project for somebody new to the bandsaw. Resawing a profile in a tall, thin board right out of the gate? As a 30 year veteran shop teacher, that's not something I'd recommend to a bandsaw newbie.
SUPER LIKE FRIEND.
ОтветитьI have the older green HF bandsaw and love it! I put 6" riser blocks and Carter bandsaw guides on it and wouldn't trade it for one of the newer $1800 saws!
ОтветитьI just wanted to let you know why I stopped supporting you on Patreon, I love your content and encourage you to keep up the great work, but I can no longer have anything to do with Patron
ОтветитьHey steve, can you make a vanity mirror with lights with a simple tools like circular saw
Ответитьtoo much trouble, you can buy them for less than $10.00 already made.
I don't think is worth the time
make Real apple boxes with ribs.
ОтветитьMerry Christmas to you and the family Steve.
ОтветитьI just found you, and what I would really like is for some really nice dinning room chairs. So few people have them. I just subbed to your site today. If you could make some chairs for some dining room tables, I would be VERY happy. BTW, love your site. It has been more than helpful.
ОтветитьFound your channel in a de-cluttering comment section xD i subbed tho soooo <3
ОтветитьI finally got around to building the lumber rack. I'm not sure that it will go up the basement stairs when I move
ОтветитьNow tell us how often are you going to use the servers, I think you won't find them handy at all. They are too wide, too bulky, have a bad profile to handle them, so they are cumbersome in use, and only after a big mod can they be of any real use...
ОтветитьLooks like the boards you are using start at 3/4" is that right?
ОтветитьWhat happened to the twitter account?
ОтветитьI have 5 new video ideas that I highly recommend you make pretty please. You should make videos talking about the different types of clamps, joints, bits, drills, and knobs (for like cabinets, drawers, etc.).
ОтветитьI like your videos Steve, I'm not in USA could you tell or send me the link for the mineral oil?
ОтветитьHmmm- Id take your HF saw over my old 3-wheel Delta any day. Or maybe for just one day. HF is a crap shoot I've had mostly good luck. If it weren't for HF guys like me would never have gotten off the ground! I'm making these tongs for a white elephant at my company party
ОтветитьI feel like he should be wearing eye protection
ОтветитьYou're the Mr. Rogers of woodcutting
ОтветитьBandsaw's the only tool that's ever bit me. Whacked one of my fingers in half once with it, doing stupid things that I should have known better than to do..
ОтветитьDid you trade out your old truck? Old trucks are cool, man!
ОтветитьLove you work Steve!!
ОтветитьVery handy, hahaha I get lit. Thanks for another good video, I'll try this soon.
Ответитьpersonally, I don't get it why all salad mixer ended up like a fork. what is the point of make it look like a fork? that fork shape is not any better than spoon shape functionally. only difficult to wash. no friction, no sauce drop...what is the functionality of that grooves?
ОтветитьI would actually use a Jigsaw for this project because man is it a lot easier to both use and control for resawing and it's a lot cheaper than a Bandsaw (especially a big Bandsaw which is pretty dang expensive).
ОтветитьI love making gifts for the kitchen to give my family and friends. Things like cutting boards, and chopping blocks. Could you do a video on making a cutting board on the future? I've been woodworking for a few months now and cutting boards were my first projects that gave me a hard time when it came to finishing them.
ОтветитьHello, a wonderful project and a great job with the wood. Greetings from Andy from Germany
ОтветитьYou can also glue the face template at the beginning, cut the edge side and then keep the offcut sides, fold them back with the useful core element like a sandwich and then cut the face along the template (which is already glued) but with a flat surface riding on the table. You can also fold two servers that way, immobilize them as a one block and cut them simultaneously. Other than that - great idea!
ОтветитьThis was your last sponsered video right. That's too bad I love your Casper spots and everything else.
ОтветитьThose look really “handy”
ОтветитьI got interested in basic construction (just shed size max) and woodworking in Q3 of 2020, and got my first set of saws and a belt sander for Christmas (likely will build a sanding table to mount it to, that would be an awesome video for you to put out :)). I have a circular saw, miter saw, power drill, impact driver (that I accidentally "inherited" from a satellite installer a few years ago... woops!), a growing assortment of bits, and other basic tools any home owner should have. The things I'm truly missing are a table saw, jigsaw, and a good assortment of clamps.
With some creativity to get around these last few for now, are they truly "required" to get started in woodworking? Obviously safety would remain #1 importance. My wife wants me to ensure I'll actually pick up the hobby before I start buying everything ;)
What thickness board do you use? 3/4 inch?
ОтветитьHarbor freight is the IKEA of woodworking. If you need something and you don't wanna pay very much for it you can technically get it way cheaper at Harbor freight. But it won't be the same quality as if you would bought it at a regular store. They do also sell really good quality stuff there but at that point you're paying a comparable price to what you would've paid if you had gone to one of the more common big box stores...
ОтветитьI want to make these
ОтветитьThank you for the great video. Did I miss what type of wood? 😊
Ответитьmade these when the video came out but would like the plans again can you make them available again?
ОтветитьHi i was trying to get thebplans but it won't load.
ОтветитьAre these plans still available? They look awesome
