I feel for D-Lo ‘cause media is thinking he wants more playing time etc but he doesn’t. He knows his skill set, his impact, and knows defensively he’s not as fit as others to stop certain teams. He played and plays so well with all the starters... the team needs that « glue ». Trading him would be a huge mistake. Consistency is his problem but the coaching staff are getting to know his tendencies and will utilize him properly. And they’ll help him gain mental toughness before the end of the season…

The perfect example of people being so influenced by the media that they really believe this man is not a valuable piece… He’s currently the single season best 3 point shooter and the Lakers History and we chose to hate on him about stuff that we have nothing to do with.. If it was anyone else.. we would go crazy.. We wanted Klay Thompson, but last year DLO was more productive than Klay.. He actually scored more points than Klay and was more efficient than Steph… But most people can’t think for themselves so they repeat what they hear. I’m not saying he’s a top 10 player in the league.. but he’s actually a top 10 PG in the west according to PBF.. the true Stats and he has the highest +\- on the team for anyone who plays 15 min or more a game.. Why do people choose to like Austin but not DLO???

DLo has no choice. i guess he can go completely rogue and not listen at all to anyone and chuck 20 shots but he'll be benched quick and kill his own value anywhere else. Knecht gonna take even more of his shots and playing time once Rui gets back. someones going to lose more shots and it's likely going to be the streakiest shooting defensive liability on the Lakers.

He's pretty aware of the situation, is he happy about coming off the bench? No. Is he frustrated about his shooting slump? Yes. But he is trying to help how he can. But shit's hard, hard to find a new role on the team when your opportunities are getting smaller and shorter. BUT he's still our second best playmaker on the team (first when it comes to efficiency), and it shows during games. His shot will come back too, we've seen this. And he's also one of the best teammates at least to the young guys, which can't be understated from a morale point of view.
Now do i wish he was making Gabe money instead? Yes. Is he the first or one of the first people i would put in a trade? Yes, but that's the business of NBA
