How to escape the RAT RACE (3 simple steps you can do!)

I'm 23f. I studied for a year in uni, got ill and had to stop studying. Now I'm deciding what to do with my life and whether to go back just to get the degree, but everyone is in panic and I do need to figure out a way to make a living. Do u have advice? I am scared and lost atm and I keep asking everyone for advice but idk if I can handle the daily 9-5 anymore

Many people don`t know, recent studies have proven that you have to have the mentality of a rat and at least 4% Neanderthal DNA to be able to stay for more than 5 years in the rat race.

Best thing I ever did for my career - I saved up six months worth of living costs. I had no idea this would affect my happiness so much. Throughout my 20s I had credit card debt and I always had to take the first job I was offered. Or I had to work at a job I hated because I always knew the rent was coming due.

I finally saved up a bunch of money and now I could negotiate for better job offers, not take the first thing that came, and maybe even take a job that I enjoyed. If I ever was in a job I didn't like, I just up and quit. I was unemployed but I had savings so I'd say, heck, let's go to Europe for 6 weeks since we got some down time! That's when I felt like I left the rat race and I sort of enjoy my 40 hour a week, well paying, low stress job. When I got back from Europe I interviewed and got a few job offers and took the one that sounded kind of neat and paid well.

Note - you ever want financial freedom, drive less car than you need and live in a smaller apartment than you need. I'm 48 but still have the same living expenses as my 28 year old self.

Even though we can afford our lifestyle, I see the money go into our single family home & suck our accounts. This year is going to be our last vacation for about 5-7 years. Wife isn’t happy but we have to meet in the middle. It’s getting ridiculous on the affordability of groceries, education, etc.

The only way I see it to escape the rat race is working remotely, preferably as a programmer or graphic designer and for the last talent u always have the only fans route to go to 😅

The way I escape the rat race was taking a big leap of faith from ✝️God and being able to be my own boss and make my own schedule I feel up to working and grinding my own schedule out when I want where I want and how I want. And I thank God everyday for allowing me to make money everyday and every weekend.

Creativity doesn’t work for YT either. You are still in the rat race, but your boss is the algorithm. You are in a different rat race. The only somewhat escape is when your money can produce enough for your living needs.

Define purpose. Basically you don't take pride in what you're doing because it is not your company. You are serving their purpose. It would seem that you need your own company to serve your purpose.

Haha so true. Have you ever seen the classic late-90's movie, "office space"? (my age is showing). I was working in my home Canaduh when that movie was released, and I was in it (figuratively not literally) but I QUIT, and gradually became self-sufficient with NO corporate chains. Moved to SE Asia and literally live oceanfront now with the Mrs... I don't miss the "office space" cubicle life! Nor do I miss canaduh, yuck!

Escaping the rat race is not easy. I ran a handyman business for 2 years but it didn't take off so now i'm back at a job barely making enough to pay the bills and doing any handyman work I get on my days off. I have no idea what business to do in order to ditch the job.

Government can never admit this, but their entire system is collapsing because too many people are finding holes in the fence and getting out.

Government cant sustain itself in its current form if we have a decentralized society of entpreneurs and self employed people.

Government needs a population of plebs to keep the caste system in place.

Grow up girl. The truth known by adults is that 90 percent of jobs in world is „rate race” .
This is how the world works. Not everyone is childless, funded by parents or inhetited wealth. If everyone would be like you who would save patients at hospitals? Noone would be interested in work like being surgeron, or teaching children, etc. This is model you want to promote???? Seriously? 🤯

If everyone is doing the same things then why aren't all escaping the rat race?

I am looking forward for this, I work from 8 to 5, plus 2 hours of transportation. And for a very low salary. This is because many companies in my country refuse to insure their emplyees and once I find one which insure, I stay, but only for a while.However, I feel that I am loosing my life and I am not learning anything.

It’s modern day slavery with a paycheck attached to it. Sad reality for a lot of us. But I promise my dream, my #1 goal in life is to get out of the Rat Race I will get out!!

Best years of our lives are spent building an empire; that period is followed by wishing most of it would go away=quiet desperation. Entering trade school and building up a patricular skill will get you out the rat race. On the side learning how to trade and invest into etfs,stocks, crypto, gold and silver

I'm incredibly depressed and anxious right now, I'm no even good at my job anymore. I'm just waiting to get fired so I can finish paying my mortgage (I'll have to sell my car too). I live in Mexico and here if you don't own your own business or work for a big company you basically starve. I feel maybe if I finish paying my apartment I will be free to do whatever the hell comes to my mind. I'm scared. Sorry for rambling, video was helpful.

I suffer from extreme panic attacks while work . My mind basically forced me to stop. So i live in my car now . I think working is not the problem. As long it doesn’t makes you sick. Try to find my passion now .
