ARK Survival Ascended is in Serious Trouble..

They should have done Ragnarok before Abberation as it’s one of the most popular maps. Once that releases and they get towards the end of the pipeline and they release Valguero and Fjordur the playerbase will start filtering back in I think.

The PS5 version of Ark Survival Evolved was horrific for me. It ended up unplayable for me. Constant crashes. I originally had it on PS4 and absolutely loved it. One of the best games I've ever played apart from building issues like pillars etc. A few crashes but not many at all. When I bought my PS5 that was a very different story. It was always crashing. Called Sony Support and they kept saying the crash code was because the PS5 was too hot. Even though it would crash within 2 minutes of me turning the thing on. I held off getting Ark Survival Ascended until only 2 or 3 weeks ago. I love it. I've had no crashes. The building aspect has improved but is still tedious. I would give ASA a 8/10 for sure. If the building system would allow of levelling of the ground and less stupid glitches I would give it a 10. The graphics are brilliant. However, the devs should not have spent there time remaking this. ARK 2 should have been there priority. Gamers are not stupid and Snail games are playing on that we are. What a very bad investment move. Look at how long it is taking to bring out the new version of the maps. Imagine all of those man hours being poured into ARK 2. For them to say if Ascended does not do well there will be no ARK 2, they might as well give up the goose now. What the heck are these ARK devs thinking!!!

The performance of the game is garbage. Hopefully the engine upgrade brings optimization. Of course Survival Evolved has a higher player count, you can actually play the game with decent frame rate. I have a super good computer and the performance is just disappointing. We'll see how FSR helps as well.

Ark 2 doesn’t need to come out anytime soon give it 4 to 6 years make it good first

Ark is one of my favorite games. I like ascended.
But it's like load crisis said at launch it only had one map I've just been waiting for more maps.

Even though I don't have the problems everyone have on this game, (possibly because I built my computer from scratch with a 2.5K budget) I agree with what people are saying about snail, they are slow in more ways than one(pun intended)
I wish they would giva crap about the community.

Most people can’t afford a 4090 to play the game at 60fps.

Ark devs need to start adding new maps to official if they want to save Ark ascended. Aberration and Scorched earth are the worst maps in Ark. they need to bring new Maps build to adventure and exploration. Ark is becoming stale because maps are just landscapes.

ASA looks like a round PixArk, it's cartoonish and obviously a cash grab.

Ascended is so poorly optimised on xbox series s that I just gave up.. doubt they even fixed the supply drops having no beams due to them turning the global illumination setting down with no way of changing it back on console

Man, they really did badly this time around. There's a crazy amount of foundation spamming, and people are able to block the Obelisks. You can't open a cryopod without a generator and cryofridge, and if someone is nearby, you can't even open the cryopod.

ark se player. i would watch your vids as soon as they came out before launch to get details since it was always being pushed back. I was there the night it was supposed to launch but got delayed a few hours hyped to play. here we are months later i havent watched ark content in months just because its unplayable on pc

I currently play on Xbox and love the game ... yes i get booted once in a great while but for the most part it runs great on my series x ..... anyone that is having issues on an xbox is either not adjusting the settings to make it run better or is not on a series X and should get one! ..... there are lots of videos out there to help improve console performance without taking away the beauty and natural fun of the game !

I gave it a try on pc, rtx 4060 and I can tell you that in 20 minutes (I requested an immediate refound) it crashed 3 TIMES. UNBELIEVABLE. I' M DISGUSTED. I made every possible setting,prepared before playing it but nothing worked. Fuck them. I hate them now.

Xbox player here. They "remastered it" and made it completely unplayable. It had a workable UI and now just trying to suffer through the inventory use on ASA is so irritating. I thought the switch version was annoying enough but accepted it as a limitation of the console. No, apparently, it was intentional to be in line with the remaster. I want so badly to be excited for it and enjoy it, but the game runs horribly on Xbox, playing it was slowed down by stupid game design decisions and at this point, I frankly don't care about Ark 2. If WC could take a beautiful working game like Ark (that had it's frustrations but nothing awful) and make it so that learning engrams makes me want to switch it off because I have to press a and then put a cursor on the bar instead of just pressing a, then maybe they deserve to not be able to make Ark 2. And I wish that wasn't so.

Thats the exact reason I wont buy the game, when they had the option to play Ascended for free for around 3 days I was ecstatic because I wanted to see if I could run it without paying the money so I can make sure my money wasnt gonna go to waste if I did get it!
And unfortunately, no matter how low I put the graphics the game would crash, the game would run at 10 or lower FPs it was unplayable for me, I really do hope they optimize the game at some point because I really do wanna play it!
But as it stands right now, I am unable to play it, even though my PC meets the required specs for the MINIMUM requirement to play the game, truly unfortunate.

on console its blurry, the map doesnt render at all when you look at it, it has performance issues and its still a stupidly large download size

i play on console split sreen with my dad and sister and first we cant go 1000 metres away from eachother or we will get telaported to player one and we cant unlock engrams at the same time also player ones controller drifts on two play pls fix

I love this game so happy to have some great mods ? Though I am so so disappointed in the company’s ability to make a game that works properly and smoothly ? I have no Dino’s anywhere on any map ? Yes that is right not one single coleanth (fish) let alone a Dino of any description it constantly black screens me ? My alpha character number 1 killed all 9 bosses and was ready to take on the overseer and then when I transferred to the centre just to have a look at what they had done the character was lost in limbo because I was black screened doing the transfer ! Checked both maps ?? Goooone again ! Number 2 is still alive number 3 lost number 4 lost number 5 aberration brand new made last night ! This game is so messed up ! Thanks for another broken game from PS4 to PS5 same crap same let down for PS5 players ? Seems to work Ok on pc from what I have witnessed first hand watching streamers build massive constructions ! Yet I can’t or I will get black screened ! Done all things to optimise the console and game but still it frustrates me no end !

With such a rookie start asa had, introducing shady and predatory p2w mechanics was THE worst thing they could've done.
For someone with management background the absolute pathetic work of marketing team they did since wery beginning is just disgusting. Damage controle is non-existent, community communications are non-existent, no marketing research on general quality of machines your customers have, no research of feedback from players and so on.

It's because the game is unplayable. No one on Xbox wants to keep deleting their saves because the game won't launch after playing one of the maps for a while. They are really lacking and they just need to scrap it and put the mods on ASE

I played ark survival evolved small tribes on PS5 for years but ascended just played so poorly and looks and feels way worse than the original. It made me quit and probably will never go back. I want to play survival evolved small tribes again, it played and looked so much better on PS5 and series x. Ascended is trash!

Imagine saying "if you guys buy enough ASA copies, we'll have enough money to make you an ARK2 that you can buy as well" lol.

Since the originals LAUNCH they've always been content>function and it grew old so quickly. Years and years later, it's just sad to see that still hasn't changed. I haven't wanted new content for so long because we want the game to FUNCTION correctly. That should always be first, before adding new content.

the problem is the UE5 update should’ve happened on the jump. All of these resolutions they’re coming up with SHOULDNT be resolutions, they should’ve been implemented as a standard. THATS the issue. the company can’t even hit deadlines, they’re screwed from the foundation up man. they did it to themselves. a bunch of incompetent toddlers running a company

have built a new PC and it didn't help so I only play single ply.

have considered going back to to the old ARK. don't mind smoking out

the game looks horrible.. runs horrible and is all round one of the worst games i have ever played. feels like you cant see more than 5 foot infront of you cause all the colours are mashe together and everything has a orange tint or is just pitch black at night. truly a hidious example of a game.

the only reason why i dont play ASA is because my pc not good enough for that i am sure many players have this issues
