We are enjoying a front suite in the Royal Castle Hotel in Dartmouth (thankyou RCH for upgrade) looking out at the view across the ria to Kingswear in brilliant winter sunshine…your experience was very enjoyable viewing with the River Dart behind the iPad.

Yes, I would definitely try this babymoon suite experience and after hearing that you'd want to see the sunrise from the window then I'd say 2.5 days minimum.

I think probably the strangest hotel I’ve stayed in was a converted nuclear power station in germany, but it doesn’t come even close to this. What an incredible place and a lovely thing to do before baby comes. As always great video.

What an amazing place to be for two amazing people. I for sure putting this on my "places to visit" list. Alex nailed it with the spot an all the extra things, putting a very high bar for all of us. 🙂
The most special place we ever stayed was during a 3 week kayak trip through Poland many years ago. We were trapped by heavy rain and thunderstorms on a lake with only a tarp and no tent. After two days everything was wet and we were looking for a dry place to stay at least for one night to dry out our stuff. Be asking some life guards they took us to a tiny cabin close to the lake. Just big enough for a bed a small table and a cupboard. It was very cheap, even for Poland, but we had an electric heater that we were allowed to use. What we did not know was that the whole thing was in the middle of a military area. We got a visit from an Polish officer in the evening checking what we were doing. He tried to tell us something, but we did not understand. Next morning pretty early we knew - there was a maneuver going on this day and we woke up by gun fire, tank sounds and somebody at the front door that told us with hands, feeds and a little English that we cannot leave for now as it is too dangerous. That was creepy. We later could leave the camp for the day to get to the next village to get some food and trinks, safely returning when the hot part of the maneuver was over. Next day we left without harm to continue our trip.

Perhaps the owl is a nod to "The Secret of NIMH" movie.

Alex, you need to invest in some proper walking boots pal, those comfy trainers are nice, but give me palpitations when you wear them, snow and ice calls for some chunky grips, especially when you need to support Emma and her precious cargo, with her stability.

Bragg there was a hurricane coming and the hotel I was in had a whole wall of glass windows which they added tape to Incase they broke 🥺!! So my sons Army Barrack a.k.a. apartment, where his roommates area was vacant because he was at home, allowed me to stay there until the hurricane pasted. Amazing hotel but most unsafe hotel someone can break in there so easily :edit: and also when you’re sleeping all the ice and snow can fall down on you and suffocate you
