Had a 87 these are the holy Grail of 2 stroke quads. Had the motor sent to California and gone thru bored.090, and the ports worked and polished. Cops got me on radar at 97mph before I disappeared had to hear about it at the local coffee shop by the coolest old cop in town I had all I could do not to spit my coffee all over the place when he hinted it might been me!

I have had a Banshee and a Quadzilla. The Zilla was just something magical. Love the low end torque that thing had. That thing would wear a hole through your boot starting it though lol. Using a Yamaha Raptor now. Can't beat the reliability factor and ease of use.

If you guys get ahold of one of these to test in the dirt, PLEASE find somebody that knows how to ride them do the testing. I was super disappointed when you tested the Husky Auto, because Shawn (sp?) didn't understand the bike and didn't know how to properly ride it, and it showed. Don't make the same mistake and put somebody on the 'Zilla who doesn't know how to ride an ATV, nor how to ride a 500cc Open-class machine.

It would be really cool to see you dip your toes into some quad content

My father-in-law( who has rode basically everything since he was a kid) had one and it was a beast. He was sure to not just let any one "who knows how to ride" take it for a ride. Even when he sold it he was sure the rider knew exactly what it was. Engineers must've had bigger balls in the 70s-80s.

sad part is its only a 51hp engine due to old tech. a current 450cc 4 stroke can pull 65hp on race gas or 60hp pump gas. Then to make it so called (crazy) is putting a turbo on the mf like the dirtbikes converted to snowbike's .Or yea having a banshee engine with a 120hp engine would be so called crazy. Yes this quad looks sweet but i honestly was giggling when i seen it go was waiting to hear some actual rpm's and actual acceleration . Obv there is also dudes putting hyabusa turbo engines on quads too putting out 400hp .

Nah dude. The ATC 350X was scarier. Way scarier. Especially with all the go fast parts they were flat out killers. Twist throttle and u were 100% goin to the er lol

The fact you can make any quad street legal is the most amazing thing ever and wish you could do it here in Canada. There's some wicked Yamaha Raptor 700s over there built for the road! I have an old magazine page from DirtWheels about two Raptor 700s from there and one has a Yamaha R1 1000 street bike engine swapped into it! Absolutely the cleanest most mental quad I've ever seen💯💀💀💀 That'd be unreal to see in person

Kawasaki takati 250 2 stroke bored over to a 280 2 stroke way faster than this pos we have a 87 takati bored over to a 280 and it makes this look like a bitch

I Romberg when they came out ! I was working at Wiser Cycle in Ogden Utah ! The very first one we got was torn down and top end😂 rebuilt, head milled and head dome reshaped , pipe, and porting on cylinder!!!!!! That smoked the stock LT 500!!!!!

It was absolutely a badass quad for its day. But it has more legend than merit. Its an animal but its not a good trail or mx machine, its just got balls. Kawi and honda had much better 500s they just never put them in a quad application. Its a legend and a fun topic, that's it. Nothing legendary
