The rangelands and agricultural land in the Horn of Africa are experiencing significant consequences from climate change that affect the socio-economic well-being of agro-pastoral communities. Mohamoud Ibrahim, Acted's technical coordinator in Somalia, explains the methodology implemented locally to reduce ecosystem decline and improve soil quality. This approach enables poverty alleviation, reduction of tensions over access to natural resources, and soil regeneration via carbon sequestration, concretely contributing to SDGs 1, 2, 13, 15, and 16.
