Late blight of potato

Dear farmers, due to the attack of late blight of potato initially irregular water soaked spots develop on tip of the lower leaves and a white fungal mass can be seen around the spots. Later spots increase in size, turn purple brown & finally black colored.

Rainy weather conditions, 10- 26 degree Celsius temperature and high relative humidity 90% favor disease development.
Management: Select healthy disease free tubers for growing crop. If disease symptoms observed, in crop spray plants with Zineb 75% @ 2 gm/ liter of water or Propineb @ 2.5 gm/ liter of water.
