That's bullshit I'm out of here you're not much of a mechanic my friend
ОтветитьI've never had any trouble out of my 59 like that Echo 590 Timber Wolf is a fine chainsaw a good Dependable chainsaw I don't know where he bought his
ОтветитьI've never heard nothing locked out about chainsaw they're good chainsaws
ОтветитьOne of the easiest starting saw I've ever owned I've had one for 5yr's 3 pull's starts every time no matter how cold
ОтветитьI’m at work, this 590 is brand new. I’m pulling an pulling an pulling an pulling. An I’m like there’s no way this is right. Let me do some research. Hit up Google, your video pops up an im like good lord thank you 🙏 but I’m shocked because is this normal on a 600 dollar saw? Why are they so temperamental ??
ОтветитьYou are so clueless. You flooded the saw by pulling multiple times with the choke on. Turn the choke off, hold the throttle wide open, and it will clean out and start. I learned this operating 2-stroke snowmobiles and motorcycles when I was 14 years old. Its not rocket science.
ОтветитьDidn't work. I'm so undefeated rn
ОтветитьThis worked, thank you
ОтветитьI got this saw recently. When starting it I give it 2-3 short pulls with choke on to get past first compression stroke and prime the cylinder then pull it to first stroke and it starts
ОтветитьAppreciate the video. Ridiculous this chainsaw is so highly rated and so sensitive. It’s like you have to handle it with kit gloves, for the money it’s ridiculous. Returning it, not futzing with this crap everytime I want to run it.
ОтветитьAn unbelievably unreliable cold starter. On Day 1 im swapping plugs to get it going. Couldnt return it fast enough.
ОтветитьThank you for the tip & trick
ОтветитьThis fixed the problem. Thanks😊
ОтветитьDid the saw stop itself at end of video. That’s what mine does. Starts then stops
ОтветитьI just bought new Echo CS-590, It did not start
ОтветитьHoly shit! THAT WORKED!!!! Freakin love this guy!
ОтветитьTo solve this no start issue buy a stihl
ОтветитьWork flawlessly!!!
ОтветитьSee " Chikanic's VID on hard starting chainsaws. Do not use the compression release on this saw after break in. It will flood super easy. Pull it once only on choke. This saw does not want to do 1/2 choke so well, it trys to go to zero. It will generally start in less than 3 pulls if the carb is adjusted OK. The amsoil 2 stroke oil performs well.
Ответить2 cycle oil?
ОтветитьJust bought the saw, do you have to do this everytime?
ОтветитьI suffered with one of these things for years. Now it's a wood-eating monster. Starts when cold with 6 pulls or less. No more flooding. Bad information caused me more problems than anything. Now I know what works.
When you haven't used the saw for over 6 weeks, and it will not start or will not run correctly, replace the gas. If it still doesn't work, buy a kit and do a partial carb rebuild. Replace the gaskets, diaphragms, and mesh filter. Very easy. Liberal corn gas will not tolerate down time.
Echo part P033000000. Walbro part K22-HDA. Chinese may not work.
If you do things right, it doesn't matter whether you use the compression release. The saw will start fine with the button pushed.
When cold:
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Engage the choke.
3. Pull until the saw does ANYTHING. Even a little blip.
4. Unchoke and pull until it starts.
5. Hit the trigger to reduce the RPM's to idle speed, especially if the brake is on. Running fast with the brake on can ruin the brake and clutch and melt plastic.
When hot:
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Engage the choke. This will give the engine more gas.
3. Release the choke. The engine will still get more gas, but it won't be choked.
4. Pull until the saw starts.
5. Hit the trigger to reduce the RPM's to idle speed.
When you're finished cutting, you have two options. Very important.
1. Turn the ignition off and then turn it back on so it will be on the next time you start the saw, or
2. stop the saw using the choke. It won't hurt it. The ignition switch is actually the worse option.
When you store the saw:
Run it completely dry and then pour oil into the tank. Yank the cord to get oil into the carb. This will prevent liberal corn gas from gumming up your carb.
When you need the saw again:
Empty the oil, yank the cord a few times, add mixed gas to the tank, and start as before.
If you want your saw to run WAY better, install a Gearhead flywheel key, a 620P carb, and a Gearhead deflector. Easy. Use a cheap tachometer to tune the saw. You can also drill a big hole through your muffler and then be sure to get all the metal debris out.
I appreciate it, gonna try it rn. But I wish you had shown the actual process.
ОтветитьYour tip worked like a charm. Thanks for saving me a load of hassle.
ОтветитьJust want to say this actually works!!!! Tried the chickanic tutorial. Did not work for me.
I did what he did in the video. I used a straw from one of those stanley tumbler cups and put some 2 stroke oil directly into the cylinder behind the carb. I did however not drain the gas as I had just put fresh in. Coughed on the first choked pull like in this video, then started on 2nd pull choke off. Yay!
ECHO needs to put this instruction of putting oil down the cylinder in their manual
Don't knock it till you try it! This works. Only I did not empty the gas tank. Thanks
ОтветитьI bought a cs4910. Would not start. I then found out that many people had the same problem. Okay, maybe this fix will work. BUT, as you can see by some of the comments below that it is not a permanent fix. Why anyone would buy something as unreliable as this astounds me. I had a cs450 and it was a great saw. Can't buy one now. I had a cs400 and it was an alright saw. ATTENTION ECHO: i have a farm and need a reliable tool. Not something you have to take apart to get it started. If you cannot build a saw that can be reliably started-out of the box-find another product to sell because you are a failure as a chain saw manufacturer.
ОтветитьThanks for the tip. You were spot on!!
Ответитьit work for me first try tanks.
ОтветитьYou shouldnt have to do this to get the chainsaw to run. might have to try this with my 4510 to get it to run after using it for maybe 4 to 5 hours. Thinking i should have gotten another stihl. Good thing my smaller stihl ran.
ОтветитьI’m fairly mechanically inclined. When I saw this I thought NO WAYYyy! Figured what else do I have to loose. Went out and it worked!?!!
ОтветитьIt seems that they are very easy to flood, but I made it work.
My mistake was that when getting it, trying to start for the first time, I pumped too much fuel so it flooded instantly.
1- Removed the plug, and dried it
2- Cranked a few times to remove fuel from cylinder
3- Put everything back together and started it without choke, on second pull I heard it "pop", on the third pull it fired up but would die as soon as I removed fast idle, so I let it run on fast idle for about 30 seconds, started to give it some gas and it works fine.
Since then it always starts easily, just don't flood it!
Just bought a new CS-590 and was having a hard time getting it to fire for the 1st time. I found this video and thought…oh, boloney…but figured why not try? Well it worked. I finally got the saw to fire after drying off the plug, dripping a little Red Armor down the fire hole, draining the gas, and holding the throttle wide open with the choke off a few times until it popped!! I put fuel back in it and voila…good to go!
ОтветитьLooks a nice saw. This might sound simple but with junk like this, and believe me, I've had the same fiddle with similar stuff. I have found a simple method that usually works pretty well... If you know you are going to be cutting ahead of schedule, try laying the saw in the sunlight for say, 20 or an hour in a clear area without disturbance. Obviously check oil and levels etc, mechanically sound. The pre heat from the sun on the body, particularly metal areas can prove useful, before attempting to begin option in certain circumstances. Clearly the weather makes a big difference as to how you approach stuff like this.
ОтветитьThis solution worked for me. I was able to get my saw running in about 5 minutes by following the instructions.
ОтветитьWhy is the echo 590 so hard to start I did everything everybody else told me to do never press in on a primer butt what is going on with the 590 Echo chainsaw it's brand new Dallas Elementary North Vernon Indiana 47265
ОтветитьReally wanted to buy one of these but the hard starting problem kept me away. I called Echo and asked them if they had fixed the hard start problems with the Timberwolf and they told me there are no problems with starting it. I told them, "Thanks - that's all I need to hear. I won't be buying your product." Going to buy a Stihl.
ОтветитьYou just have to know how to use this saw. Flip switch to on and pull out choke. Mash compression button. Pull few times till you see compression button pop up again. Press down and push choke in and pull to crank.
ОтветитьThanks for this video. After watching, I decide to return my Echo to Home Depot. I’m going to just spend the extra money on a Stihl.
ОтветитьOk so my brand new CS-501P stopped working after using it for about an hour. I tried everything I could think of. Before I went to bed, I drained the fuel and let it sit overnight. In the morning, I did the steps in this video with adding some oil to the combustion chamber. Replaced spark plug, added fuel, ensured it was on, and gave it a pull- more noise than I was hearing the day before. I gave a few more pulls and wasn’t getting it to turn over. Started it with no bar attached, with throttle engaged. Thank you!
ОтветитьChain saw whisper .... It work just like he said ..... !!!!! ... I used the straw ...... !!!!
ОтветитьThis is their biggest piece of crap they have ever made
Ответитьbetter video: Quickly UNFLOOD YOUR CHAINSAW Using NO Tools
ОтветитьI recently bought a Shindaiwa 601sx (essentially the Echo 620 in red). Same motor with some more high end ignition and carb. But same problem, hard to start. I removed the spark plug boot and then removed the plug. Oh, it was loose, barely hand tight! After fixing that, started much better, Second start still a bit difficult. However after using it (carefully) for about an hour, my next few starts have been easy..
Not sure if the loose plug is region specific (I am in New Zealand). but worth a check. But I must say, does get better to start after a few runs.
Thanks you really helped me I appreciate you bro
ОтветитьVery dangerous starting technique in this video. This guy is going to maim himself someday. Newbies will watch this and emulate his bad habits - not good. Check it out, he took the chain brake off, held the saw with one hand in front of his torso, and pulled the starter with his other hand. Yes, you CAN do that, and get away with it hundreds of times. On the other hand the one time you won't and pay dearly for it. There's a reason ALL major saw manufacturers have a very different recommended starting techniques and it's not because they're wimps! And yes, it is obligatory to turn the ignition ON before attempting to start! Amazing eh?
