2024's Game Of The Year Nominations Are HERE

Astro is easily my game of the year and it’s not even close for me. I’ll be honest it’s probably top 3 for games of this generation

My top three are Balatro, Tekken 8 and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. Astro Bot gets an honourable mention. FF7 Rebirth is just a game in a franchise I have little interest in. Same as Dragon Age. Wukong is just the most paint-by-numbers 6 out of ten Triple Ayyyyy game I've ever played. Metaphor is a turnbased JRPG - I can't give a fair opinion on it. Silent Hill 2 is GOOD, but it's not much more than a solid reimagining of a classic. Good for what it is.

And anybody the thinks Black Myth has a chance are the same people that thought Spiderman would win before...😅😅

Metaphor washes everything else for GOTY...Let's focus on other categories. 🤧

I've stopped trying to figure out what I want to put above Balatro for my GOTY. It's just been the best thing released this year that wasn't a DLC.

Plenty of half decent games this year, but none that have set the world on fire. I've tried to see what people see in metaphor, but meh. As for the likes of Wukong, Rebirth and Stellar Blade, don't get me started

I've only played FF7 Rebirth and Stellar Blade.

Black Myth Wukong, Astro Bot and Stellar blade are my top 3 for the year.

If you would have asked me last year I would have thought FF7 Rebirth would be my GOTY, but it was so bloated and felt like a Ubisoft game. Plus they fumbled one of the most iconic moments in gaming. I hope they trim all the fat for Part 3

Dragon age, astrobot, and Stellar blade are my top three.

For me the GotY spot is a tie between Stellar Blade and Black Myth Wukong. Both were fantastic! And rounding out the top three would probably be Astro Bot, then Helldivers 2 or FF7 Rebirth.

No Prince of Persia lost crown on the list but Cod and Dragon Age are there is crazy to me.

Black myth wu kong by far...an original IP...no micro transactions... beautiful graphics...best story of the year and everyone loved it...I dont think remakes or remasters should be in any contention for goty...

My top three were:

1. Stellar Blade
2. Black Myth Wukong
3. Dragons Dogma 2

Two of those aren't even in the nominees?!

FF7 Rebirth felt bloated to me and the open world itself felt empty. It’s also not very replayable imho

2024 is the year that games companies and reviews lie to us again and again. Telling us false positives about games like valorant and veilguard because they think we can't see the truth...

Let 2025 be the year that the dept occurred is paid in full... forcefully and without compassion for the damage wrought.

Ffvii rebirth was a step back with repetitive open world trends. Great parts but remake has much better pace

FF7 Rebirth is my game of the year. Mostly because it's the only game I've really played this year.

Astro's only close competition for game of the year for me was Stellar Blade, then Echoes of Wisdom, Metaphor and Silent Hill had to come along and make it tough on me.

Not a lot of good games this year

Im not the biggest Veilguard hater ever, definetly think it has cringy dialogue but overall fun. However the fact that it's nominated but dragon dogma 2, yakuza infinite wealth, and dragonball sparkling zero aren't makes no sense. Makes me side eye things a little

Black Myth Wukong is Definitely my game of the year. The only game I've ever platinumed and still wanted more.

I thought Metaphor would get snubbed not like a dragon. I cant believe they let dragon age the failgaurd in. Its dialogue is cringey as hell.

At least Metaphor: ReFantazio made the short list for game of the year, I don’t expect it to win. I think it will be Dragon Age: The Veilguard because there is enough people who will vote for it out of spite.

My personal GOTY

My prediction is Metaphor will win, not my genre but, it’s clearly the best game nominated.

For me batman Arkham Shadow is my game of the year

I had to rewind and check I didn't hear it incorrectly. Dragonage Veilguard nominated for GotY!!! WTAF! Gaming media is a complete joke at this point, calling them irrelevant is huge understatement.

No mention of UFO 50, a great collection of 8-bit inspired games.

Feels like a genre preference thing. A lot of people are saying Black Myth but they don’t play many other games besides action. While if you are a JRPG person Persona is your easy pick while a lot of others are all in on Astro Bot and or FFXVII

Rebirth, Wukong, Silent Hill 2. In that order.

path of exile 2 will be goty for me, i mostly forgot which games came out this year because there was just not really anything interesting this year

The disrespect to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is staggering.

My personal game of the year is Helldivers. Helped me allot throughout the year. Don't expect it to win but maybe it gets some award. Shoutout to my fellow Helldivers o7
