Bro you’re NUTS! That D-pad is THEE worst D-pad I’ve used in my 30 years of gaming. I can’t stand it.

I had a Splatoon 2 Pro-troller that developed stick drift... until it didn't somehow 😆

Ever since I got my own Nintendo Switch in April 2017, and way better than the Wii U one

Ive went through at least 15 pro controllers. That top left analog falls off each one of them. Some became less responsive after a while. I wish they wouldve made one without the cushion on the analog and just shaped the hard plastic into the shape it has with the rubber. Right now I just use a joycon without the rubber on it. Theyre no longer 59.99 everywhere the price went up.

My launch day pro controller finally started drifting a little, but an occasional calibration seems to fix it.

NFC reader is built-in too. It’s not commonly used, but it adds to the justification of the cost.

No it's not. Mine developed serious drift issues, yet my bloody gamecube, PS2, and Xbox controllers haven't. The best controller of all time is by far the gamepad btw, it has everything the pro controller has besides HD rumble (meh) but with a touchscreen. Also despite far more use my gamepad has never had any issues with drift or anything else.

The d-pad alone makes the controller worst controller made. cant play fighter games or retro with that garbage

The controller is amazing indeed. Sadly, I got the left analog stick drift around 2021 (bought in 2018). I had to buy another one. I hope it will be compatible with the next console!

The D-Pad is the only thing that's not the best on it. But the rest is very nice!
The Joy-con are great when playing in handheld, but not that much when you slide them in the grip. It's definitely playable but the level of comfort could be higher.

I absolutely love mine, and I have had it for a long time also. I have been having some trouble with some drifting though. Have you had any problem with that?

Lacks analog triggers, otherwise it's great.

I'm still riding with the WII U pro controller as the goat for me and I love using it to play my Switch games in docked mode.

The Switch Pro Controller is both the best and the worst Nintendo controller of all time. Worst because of the inevitable drift issues. Best because of everything not drift related.

Make a new Pro Controller exactly the same, but drift proof and we have a winner.

I actually still use the joy-con in the adaptor as my main controller. I have small hands which probably helps

It is best controller Nintendo have made. I do kind of wish they had equivalent of Xbox elite controller with the paddles and adjustable deadzones

Mine had a sharp edge between the right grip and the central part of the controller. I dropped it fairly often and the connect/power button fell of the board internally and then in 2020 it started drifting. So I ended up buying an 8bitdo ultimate for those hall effect sticks and after some stick surgery gave the pro controller to my sister.

The 8bitdo ultimate is a fine controller and is much less of a hassle to use with PC (the input lag when connected via bluetooth is *awful*) but I still miss the feel of the Switch Pro controller. Just not enough to get another one when the Switch 2 is expected so soon and there are very few games left I want to play on Switch.

I really hope the Switch 2's pro controller is essentially just a Switch pro controller with some more modern stick tech (yeah, I know it's not gonna happen) and analogue triggers

I have 2 pro controllers awesome controllers.

While they are better than the joycons, they are still overrated. D Pad kinda sucks. Just another case of Nintendo bonus in reviews

I just bought a switch cause i wanted nostalgia feels didnt realize its 7 years old lol i basically bought the same games i have on my Xbox but i can bring it to work in my lul periods

my only thing about it, is how it looks like a Xbox controller.

I just ordered one of these for my pc to try out. Only downside is no hall effect thumbstick modules. But given how durable it seems (according to multiple reviews), it might not even need them lmaoo.

For reference I own three different controllers with hall effect thumbstick modules and hall effect triggers. I then own a plethora of other controllers that use ALPS/potentiometer thumbstick modules. Gonna test them all for things like deadzone, circularity error rate, polling rate, input lag, etc. and see how they compare to my two newest hall effect controllers as well as all my older controllers.

Walmart was, if not still is selling fake Nintendo switch pro controllers.

The ONLY thing i hate about the Switch Pro controller was paying $75 out the door, other than that its absolutely perfect and i plan to use it for Steam as well if i can.

all got drift on two pro controllers they aint worth it

The one thing i don't particularly enjoy with the pro controller is, that the buttons feel kinda mushy, if you understand me. When I press a button on the pro controller and compare it to my 3ds, it's a night and day difference. I prefer the firm resistance of my new 3ds xl over the pro controller. Everything else is way better so.

I love almost everything about this controller. Except, the D-Pad has to be one of the worst I have ever used on any controller. I'm a person that enjoys playing retro classics so the D-Pad being good is something I heavily rely on.

I think the pro controller is fine, but the sticks feel like they’re grinding against something, and there’s one part at least in mine where if your rotate it in one area there’s like a line it goes across. Also I think it’s a bit too small, but I guess they don’t want it to be too big for kids.

As a PC gamer, I'm looking for a controller to use for certain games. I'm very familiar with the xbox controller but I want to try out gyro so it's Switch Pro or PS5, and I've heard the DualSense has stick issues.

ive used mine for about 5 years and still going strong. its so easy to setup for pc and i mainly use that instead of my switch nowadwys. steam and emulators have no issues detecting it either, its such a great controller :)

had my pro controller since i got it (2018) an ive put thousands of hours into it on switch and pc and no drift and still works perfectly fine minus i guess less battery but thats fine lol

Theres one huge problem with this controller. Steam. For some reason using it on steam or any game running through steam gets such high input lag. Playing anything without steam is perfect.

If you ask me, with Nintendos success. 7 years and STILL doing very well is an accomplishment! You guys talk like the Switch died or some ish. Come on Vro, get with the Program... Get it.

I was really hoping I'd be able to set up gyro controls with the PS3 controller I already have, but I know when to admit defeat. Okay, time to upgrade.

If I get a Switch 2, I'll already be a little prepared then anyway.
