this is why both parents (in constitution) are to be born in the United States of America. His father was not born here. So why did this get ripped from law. If some1 said do this to Americans or we kill your intirer family in Africa don't u think they would crumble us as he is doing. To be president both parents are to be born on American Soil...

It's an attack on Christians because only the Christian baker who refuses to participate in a gay wedding is socially, legally & financially persecuted. The Muslim baker can refuse to participate in a gay wedding with no such repercussions, So yes it is an attack on Christianity.

Ok yes I believe the church has this right but honestly If your a Christian did Jesus refuse anybody from comin into the church? I think religious or not your beliefs and rights should be protected and non of us should play God and discriminate. I love my spirituality I'm not religious but I was raised southern baptist, it's complete blasphemy to stand there and push anyone away from the church.. Cause Jesus laid his life down and said it was finished didn't mean cheery picking he ment it was all finished. So if a couple of the same sex wants to get married under God or ask you to bake a simple cake what does that make you for turning them down? You cry cause the church isn't filled on Sundays.Jesus had open arms to drunkards, prostitutes and the rebuked. You can't possibly believe the church was based on organized values causing hatred and discrimination. Marriage is taken advantage of if a gay couple wants to be married under God do it. Members in church get divorced. Different? Nope

I live in this state and it really is ass backwards. Most, not all, are actually this fucking stupid. The old racists are dying out and our school systems in the larger communities are slowly trying to change this but it takes time. Mississippi time"". But it is slowly changing.

I love America. It's such a diverse place with diverse opinions all competing against each other. It's strangely beautiful. Small little communities of people - all good people - fighting for what they believe in. Binded by a constitution that gives us all freedom. Keep the passion up, everyone!

The society of our founding fathers had heavy Christian influences, but the government they established did not. By involving religion in government, America risks discriminating against other religions and also against citizens that might fall under the "sinner" category in the Christian religion.

These types of Christians are ignorant. They should become the minority. Stamped out. They are a disgrace and unless they are suffering some kind of made up persecution, they just aren't happy. they should be living their lives in such a way that other people want to become Christians. Instead they make themselves look like fools and who wants to look like a fool?

The last time Mississippi invoked "righteous defiance" was their attempt to prevent racial integration-- and they lost that one. Today's conservative Evnagelicals are the direct spiritual descendants of the white supremacists, segregationists and supporters of the Confederacy.

In defense of these people, the more we stray from God, the worse this country gets. Look at this country today. It's becoming a hellhole of greed, rights, crime, disrespect and on and on. This is not a Christian nation and it never was, but a belief in God made us a solid nation and without God, we are on shaky ground.

A church shouldn't be required to marry a gay couple if they don't want to. But a gay couple should be able to go to the county courthouse and get legally married by the JP, and have a reception party somewhere.
