I love watching sean fight. He’s a great striker. I hope he comes back a better wrestler. Unfortunately that’s not going to happen. Especially if he comes back in March or April.

Never have I heard a fighter use such an extensive coping mechanism for a loss.

If you are going to score rounds on takedowns and who has control on the ground I am 100% sure that wrestlers will wipe the floor with the competition. My opinion is that takedowns and ground control are there to give you more opportunities to land significant strikes or a submission, but they themselves should not be scored.

Sean and Tim before the fight were constantly saying that he was the best shape ever, let’s say it’s just mind games to worry your opponent that you’re in your peak. Then why say you were in the best shape and had the best camp even after the L, only to bait people to your excuse. He tried to be slick with it by dropping news of shoulder surgery after the fight so it wouldn’t seem like an excuse. But for all we know that happened during one of those rough ass take downs where he put his hands extended out to the ground to reduce the fall if you’ve wrestled before you know how rough being slammed is on hips and shoulders if you land awkwardly
