I recently bought Red Dead after giving it to my cousin after quarantine which is when I had the time to play and finish the game. That ending song still makes me tear up man, Arthur was and always will be my favorite protagonist in a Rockstar game

still remember before this game came out everyone was like, "who cares about Arthur .. we want John." after this scene.. everyone misses Arthur. this game was an absolute masterpiece.

It’s weird how when Arthur had high honor before dying and after 100% it plays the low honor song

Been playing the game for months but been stuck on 94% for AGES cause some challenges are hard and I legit can’t even find HALF of all the animals in the game yet and I tried so hard to find different ones. I didn’t wanna look at this cutscene for spoilers but I give up lmao😂😐all of this pain and suffering and emotional damage for a cutscene that lasts 10 seconds. No thx💀

All tasks are finished, it cuts to Arthur's resting place.

John approaches the grave with his brother's hat and places it there and says 'Guess we’re just about done my friend.'

A deer (or whatever animal you saw during the story in cutscenes) walked up, looks a John in the eye for a few moment and then the animal wanders off.

A lot of popular game protagonists have come and gone through time. Arthur is one of the ones most talked about over the last few years, Ive noticed

For people who say Micah would get clapped by Arthur that’s not true Arthur would win but Micah is pretty strong and violent but Arthur would win just not as easily

ARTHUR FELT SO REAL TBH THAT STORY WAS DEEP AND THE DETAILS BUT I DONT LIKE THAT I HAVE TO PLAY RDR2 AND THEN 1 THATS DUMB BUT ITS COOL

Ive just 100% the game. I did everything as arthur. Including the challenges by using the tedious wagon technique. All so john didnt have to suffer with all the fetchquests

The first time I seen this it broke me. I know John is talking to Arthur but since we basically became Arthur over 80 hours, it felt like John was telling us “Guess we’re just about done, my friend. It’s been quite a journey”. Knowing we won’t see John or Arthur in the next game. That line hurt 🥹

Dutch: “and then what?”

Arthur and John: “I finally rest, and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe”

In my opinion this is the saddest scene in the entire game because at that point Arthur is now just a memory of what once was a great man

No, this is THE ACTUAL ENDING of the game. The rest are just mid-cutscenes that made some think that the game ended.

Man, Ngl I wanna get a Game where it would be After arthurs death, BUT Arthur doesn't die and Micah Dies, We could just see John and Arthur going through Life and Stopping gangs, Would love to see that, Arthur Would die at the end though

Worth it

Not sure when Arthur’s grave is available to be seen but i deliberately didn’t visit until it’s was the very last thing on my list to get the 100%. Never felt such emotion towards a video game and likely never will. It’s bizarre. This was my second playthrough as I didn’t do all the side stuff the first time around so restarted. Had this game over 3 years and notched up over 2000 hours. They say you can learn a language or an instrument in less time… but I’ve learned about history, friendship and how to nail a perfect beaver.
