Remo to me is the best. I was using Evans for the LONGEST time and recently made the switch. Here's why:
Remo-warmer and allows the drum to sing more
Evans-punchier and "slappy" sounding
Just my opinion. I like the warmth better
*Also, please tune the drum better next time you do a video like this to make a fair example*
its just tuned improperly
ОтветитьEvans for the win maybe i just had bad luck but every other remo i bought when i used them the head was warped from factory so anyone using remo just watch out for that even luke Hollands drum tech was having that problem with remo
ОтветитьBut you have an evans snare
ОтветитьTuning is bad, that and it may be worn out a lil, if your a drummer, you gotta change your heads atleast every month, or the heads will sound like shi when played Infront of ppl
Ответитьi just switched to the remo powerstroke 4 tom heads and using controlled sound dots as rezo. remo is more the sound of the drum, evans is more of the sound of the head.
i love both depending on what drum i am putting heads on. on my starclassic that is walnut/birch i use remo. on poplar wood kits i use evans... which is A LOT of kits now a days
Remo will get a more natural sound from the drum, Evans you get more sound from the head, Aquarian is suoer focused and dialed in.
IMO Remo is superior if you want a more natural shell sound and want the drum to sing, also the most versatile in terms of tuning and pitch. Evans is very industrial and boxy sounding. Aquarian is the warmerst and most controlled.
I’ve played many different heads across Evan’s and Remo but I will say though they can be harder to tune Remo allways outputs a better sound
Ответитьpinstripes make any drum sound way better
ОтветитьI like it and it’s good
Ответитьdepending on which remo head, and how well both heads are tuned they can sound good. but i've always like evans
ОтветитьI’ve switched in between and I hate Reno none of there heads last for me it could just be me and I’ve tried a lot of there heads I’m a Evan’s dude Evan’s always has my back
ОтветитьTry learning to tune
ОтветитьUhh it sounds bad because of yalls tuning
And you can hear the spring bounces on the snare
I will say, as a general fan of Remo, they are hit or miss. I’ve had the same coated ambassadors for literally six years passed down from my kits previous owner and they still sound great. Warm, full, and resonant. Bought a snare head and it was dead within a month. No tone, sounded like your Tom head. Mileage may vary I guess.
ОтветитьThats not the head
ОтветитьNgl, the way drum heads turn out (remo vs evans) essentially has no difference. It's just about the way you tune it.
Of course, the amount of plys, and maybe coating (idk) has something to do with sound, but both brands do the same thing: make drum heads for your drums.
Personally, I like remo because their logo looks cooler, and I've been using remo most of my life bc it's what's been commonly provided for me.
Aquarian performance 2 all the way.....tried them all....including code....but Aquarian for me knocks them out of the park..
ОтветитьIt’s tuning I got a sound precaution kit ( I’m a beginner) it’s your tuning
ОтветитьAbsolutely nothing to love about them 😂
They ring way too much for me. I like a tighter more focused sound… Evans & or Aquarian does the trick for that, with no moon gels.
I’ve found literally one remo that I liked at it was a snare batter… I think it was a P 77. Had a nice crack to it.
You can’t tune
ОтветитьAlright, 10 months later, I feel that I should follow up what I wrote Remo sounds best after a few days of use and when you are hitting balls hard
ОтветитьI think that Remo drumheads needs to be tuned everyday, especially when the humidity in the room is not constant. That's why i use evans as reso head (tuned each 2 weeks) an remos emperor as batter head (tuned each day with a tuner to equalize each tension rods) and it sounds more than perfect.
To avoid to much ringing i just widen the difference of frequency between the batter and the reso when needed (reso always tighter than the batter for me)
Im not a fan of pinstripes but i do have a practice kit fitted with them, and they sound way better than this. I'm guessing it's just badly tuned, defective, or some other issue.
Remo make fantastic heads and so do Evans and Aquarian pretending one bad sounding head is somehow a representation of the entire brand is just beyond ridiculous.
Tuning them would be a great start bud😂. But no sometimes I wonder if it’s the drum kit itself
Ответитьtake off the dampening and tune it
ОтветитьNew Remo heads have different collar design, they’ll literally take 5 seconds to tune up now.
ОтветитьRemo is always better. Poor tuning is what that was. Also that head looks like it needs to be replaced
ОтветитьReplace that dented up head and tune it properly.
ОтветитьAquarian is better
ОтветитьI used to use ambassador clear in studio but Evan’s g2 clear live. Remo sounds better when they’re new and you get the tuning right lol
Ответитьtune it and you can make it sound however you want
ОтветитьAll about Evan’s
ОтветитьPoor tuning and looks like you’re a hard hitter 😢
ОтветитьI love Remo, but pinstripes are terrible. They make all drums sound dull and bland. Emperors, ambassadors, or control dots are the way to go for toms.
ОтветитьRemo to the day I die
ОтветитьEvan’s fo sho
ОтветитьTighen the snares a bit
ОтветитьYou did it dude. You got people to interact with you by posting a video of your poorly tuned drum so we'd tell you that you tuned it poorly. What will you do next? Fuck my wife?
ОтветитьThats a dead head poorly tuned with a moongel on a pinstripe. Is this supposed to be rage bait?
Ответить😂 well played . I know you lying
ОтветитьBro remo heads is good for snare if you want good sound for your toms use Evans heads broo
ОтветитьI’ve played remo and I played Evans the only good thing that Evans makes is snare heads and kick drum heads
ОтветитьTheres a dimple for sure
ОтветитьNah but Evans is the best drum head
Ответитьremo is best sounding and most durable brand, tune your drums bro
ОтветитьLearn how to tune
ОтветитьI love remo for snare drum
ОтветитьNo remo for snare and evens for everything else
Ответить
