Its Chelsea that needs attacking players like him..Liverpool already have too many.

Liverpool is taking the same path all big clubs take when they achieve titles which is not reinforcing the squad for the following season. Big mistake. I can almost see Liverpool struggling next season to finish on the top 4. Why Liverpool ? Why ?

Chelsea is like real Madrid when it comes to premier league. RM will spend big and will sack the manager if they fail in champions league. Chelsea does the same when it comes to premier league. They are not patient enough to wait for 2-3 years and see Liverpool and city competing for the title. They are going to spend big especially on young talents. I won't be surprised to see havertz, taglifico and a quality cb in Chelsea squad the next season

From a Liverpool perspective does he represent good value? He would cost £15-£20m more than salah, mane and Firmino cost and would be on more wages than when all of those players signed with Salah the only one possibly on a par right now. Value for Werner is therefore slightly subjective from a Liverpool point of view

The most annoying thing about the “ £50 million is to much for a sub/future player “ is it’s 2020 even with everything going on on the world Liverpool will not get a player that’s good enough for them for less than 35/40 million we want a new 4th choice because origi and shaqri aren’t good enough well you’re not gonna get a better player than origi and Shaqir for less than 35/40 million

The top left guy is a moron, none of these clubs have any idea what their financial situation will become after this, the EPL still might not end and there will be further financial impacts on top of the issues already felt. He is a good player that klopp still wants but they cannot justify spending that money in the current climate, Chelsea have money because they haven’t been able to spend and sold Hazard, why do you think barely any clubs are linked with anyone? Liverpool are run very well, this is part of that and makes perfect sense, this isn’t football manager, it’s real life.

I don’t think he would fit in the Liverpool team because of Salah. So it would technically be a waste of money for a player to sit on the bench.

I think people are not giving us any credit at all. It seems most people think that players only go Chelsea because of the money. That is rubbish we are one of the biggest clubs in the world, we are located in a beautiful part of London, and we have one of best old time attacking goal scoring midfielders + legend of Chelsea fc managing us. Any player coming in knows Frank Lampard and knows what great player he was, and for them to play under him is why they come. Yes Werner wanted Liverpool but Chelsea were interested in him 2 years ago, but he was not ready to leave Germany so Chelsea went for Morate instead.

Liverpool must have other targets all be it next year. I don’t think origi is the future their is still a question mark over minamino and lastly Brewster does look very good. So it they must have players in mind going forward.

Coronavirus has hit football really hard.
Expect transfer values to come right down as very few clubs with have money to buy big.
Liverpool might be losing out of £150m in the near future, the anfield road expansion has been stopped.
Liverpool aren’t buying big any time soon.
I don’t think many clubs will be buying big this summer.

The market has changed and these reporters haven’t realised it.

As a Liverpool fan it’s our own fault. We take far too long over deals. We haggle to save money and we wait and wait and wait.
We scouted him for two years. We knew he extended his contract with Leipzig for that extra year and we knew what his release clause was.
If you snooze you lose. We’ve only spent 8 million in two years so for FSG to refuse to pay the release clause for a player who’s worth 80 million is incredibly stingy.
It was also very smalltime and amateur hour to sit back and allow Chelsea to steal him from under our noses, especially when he wanted to join us. Ridiculous.
It’s also disrespectful to Jurgen Klopp who wanted the player nobody could deny that.
Yes there is a pandemic but even with a 100 million plus loss in revenue, we still have more than enough to afford that release clause.
Look at the money we’ve accumulated over the past 2 seasons from success on and off the pitch, as well as money saved and players sold. Nike deal too. Stadium plans on hold also.
The pandemic hasn’t stopped Chelsea from spending. It won’t stop Man Utd from spending either and they’re head kneels in debt. It won’t stop clubs from doing business.
It’s a disgrace and i can see why a lot of our fans are annoyed. You can’t pull the wool over our eyes we are not stupid.
I get the feeling we re becoming complacent. We’ve worked so hard to get back to the top and now we have to do all that’s necessary to keep ourselves there.
It’s no good sitting on our hands while rivals get stronger and close the gap.

Klopp may actually be a superior coach/manager than SAF on a technical level BUT if he wants to match or even outdo Fergie, he can’t be at a club that limit his ability to refresh his team. If Timo was his man, then GET HIM!!! Even if it meant moving one of the current front 3 - given Time’s age. Fergie was ruthless that way. I guess time will tell - there is more than 1 way to skin a cat after all
